  1. Right away. EVERY [expletive] TIME WE PLAY THERE.
  2. Bradley on crutches. Hopefully totally precautionary and he'll be okay for Tuesday. The home match was the more important one anyway.
  3. [expletive]. People tweeting Bradley just limped off the field...
  4. What the hell is wrong with Chepo?
  5. The Bale thing is more about Real Madrid flexing their nuts and the internal politics/elections than any sound footballing reasons. Otherwise he wouldn't be there; Bale isn't so good as to justify the amount they've paid, them having to unload Ozil, and potentially piss off Soccer Jesus because now he's had to move centrally to accommodate a guy who not only broke his transfer record, but is about 3/4 as good. From my neutral perspective, though, I like it. Ozil at Arsenal should be fun. The fact that Real Madrid offered him to Man U and got declined is...interesting. And a really bad decision; that United midfield kind of sucks. No idea why Jose decided he didn't need Mata at Chelsea. That one is just weird.
  6. Ozil would be a great get for Arsenal. Still wish Bradley would find his way there, since Wilshire makes Mark Prior look durable. Why? Their fanbase is full of insufferable jerkasses; I'm still pretty bitter about how they treated our boy last season.
  7. I hope Spurs finish 17th this year.
  8. http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/764/lillymolina.gif God I miss those 2007-2008 teams so much.
  9. Not bad at all; It would have been nice to see Shea somewhere there to toss on if we need a goal late, but otherwise it's solid. First time with LD and CD together since the A&B game last summer.
  10. Shalrie Joseph was the worst player on the field for either side; had had to have had 10 giveaways in the first half, most of which killed attacks. The minute Rosales came on Seattle looked about a thousand percent better. Portland played well; Nagbe is really, really good. It's too bad he's not a citizen. That CB Kah is a hack, though. And Deuce looked decent for being not-quite-100%-fit; he had the heavy first touch in the 1st half and played very well in the 2nd. Finally, EJ makes soccer look like the most difficult sport in the world sometimes, especially when he's settling the ball and/or deciding what to do with it. Once he decides, or if he just reacts, he's fine but the instant he has to think, it looks like a ton of effort.
  11. Funny, but I hope Rizzo's BABIP normalizes, he continues with his progression and gets his power output to his potential. I dunno. I just feel very meh about Rizzo. I get Grace/Palmiero vibes when considering what will happen if Vogelbach progresses through the system and they have to make a decision.
  12. Tangentially related to the weird Voglebach comment, I really hope he continues on this pace and ends up taking Rizzo's job.
  13. I don't understand how that keeps happening. There's no superficial reason for it; I guess he's just really good at keeping it simple on the field.
  14. This game shouldn't have had any bearing on your excitement level. Ditto that Gold Cup. The fact that the A team was starting to beat people down and create chances, yes. Friendlies, you look at for individual performances, and there were a [expletive] ton in this one. I hope all the clown ass clowns that hated on Jozy and called him lazy feel dumb right about now.
  15. Jozy WTF
  16. That and the part where he says that Lawrie Sanchez forbade his fullbacks to play through the midfield. For an EPL team. That's madness.
  17. I think those JK comments are positive regarding Clint's move, but I'm not entirely sure, since the end of that first answer doesn't quite make sense to me on a certain level.
  18. Damn, missed the presser and can't find a video anywhere. Did anyone ask him about JK's reaction? EDIT: Never mind, found it
  19. I'd venture a guess that this is pretty close to accurate.
  20. That was a pretty cool intro. That's how you do it. On a related note, it's interesting and a little concerning to read about EJ, his friend, griping now about being underpaid. Also on a related note, I really want to hear JK's opinion, or hear more about how this move went down.
  21. Well put. This probably sums up my emotions on this perfectly.
  22. I don't know about worse, but the low end of MLS teams are pretty poor compared to the relegation fodder in the EPL. I think Clint is Clint wherever, but it certainly won't be the same consistent level of opposition. I dunno. It certainly is a giant step forward for MLS and it's future.
  23. A January loan would be about the best case scenario. Make sure he's playing at the highest level right until the WC, after that it's almost best that he's playing in MLS. By the next cycle he won't be the star attraction(if he's even on the roster), so while he's not decrepit he can help to raise the caliber of MLS. Yeah, maybe he gets a loan to a UCL side in the end or something.
  24. Yeah, SSFC just dumped their collective balls in the Cosmos' mouths. $8m per year? [expletive]. That's a net $22m gain over what was left on his deal with Tottenham.
  25. This is...disappointing. One of the coolest things about Clint was the fact that he blew through and over every obstacle and kept on raising his level. I love MLS, but this is a massive step down in quality, and I'm not looking forward to him playing on that turf, and getting hacked by scrubs like Lenhart with refs like Toledo. ETA: I wonder what JK thinks about this.
