  1. I value Calvin more than Forte. I like your running back depth and Roddy White is already banged up. I would make a deal.
  2. Still no news on Decker's hamstring injury.
  3. My irritation was at the reaction of people to the statement and the reverence given to Anheuser by some. Its probably my fault for listening to sports radio for the first time in a year or more. If the NFL manages to sweep this under the rug and AB-InBev doesn't follow through with any action, it may actually be a bad thing that they issued the statement as it would reinforce the lack of accountability for the NFL. I'll wait and see, but I hope the pressure increases across the board and doesn't back down after another week suspension or something similar.
  4. What do ya'll think about Donald Brown? I've got him or T.Y. Hilton for a flex spot. A somewhat hurt Roddy White on a short week and Colston are also options there, but I'm stuck deciding between Brown / Hilton.
  5. I have a problem with anhueser buschs grandstanding. They are literally in the vice business. The product they market has probably been the largest contributor to domestic violence and sexual assault in the history of the world. The companies longtime leader, principal shareholder and public face was confirmed misogynist who killed at least one person (possibly two) and was the benefactor of the sloppiest and most obvious coverup in the history of Crime. Shut the [expletive] up Busch. You aren't even a real company anymore. You are a foreign subsidiary of a European conglomerate. "Deep concern" are you kidding me? The harm Adrian Peterson has caused society is hilariously insignificant compared to the big machine of anhueser busch gearing up to pound society in the ass. It's a joke they may have a worse environmental record than BP and actively markets to an age demographic that cannot legally purchase their product. And there product sucks and they don't care about that either just The NFLs handling of abuse. =D> =D> It reminds me of the terrible greenwashing efforts done by so many large companies. I can't really stand anyone giving a big 'Bravo' to AB-InBev and then talking about having some budweiser in celebration of them. All it reflects is that people's feelings on this are strong and important enough to make this action profitable. Heck, they aren't even pulling advertising. They are trying to differentiate themselves as an upstanding corporate citizen with a statement alone.
  6. A lot of people were talking about how SF wasn't that good before the game. The Bears were definitely letting them off the hook until the last 10 minutes.
  7. Good stand there. Hopefully the offense can do something again.
  8. Yes, throw it to the healthy people.
  9. San Fran hasn't been too sharp at all but the Bears are not taking advantage of anything. One of these teams is going to start putting it together. Tucker yelling like he's going to get fired.
  10. Nice analysis. I definitely thing we'll see Forte more creatively used with a full week of preparation knowing Marshall and Jeffery may be scratches. Davis and Kaepernick are a nightmare for the Bears personnel. They will probably have to stay in nickel even more than last week and hope that the defensive line can stay fresh and be effective.
  11. 'Why don't they just throw it deep every play? Enough of these gimmicky screens'
  12. I like it. Getting Murray and Stacy after Graham is huge and Fitzgerald is a fringey WR1 that you still managed to land. If you got Kaepernick in the 5th, I might have waited and gotten a little bit better at WR and taken your chances at QB, but I could see this working out.
  13. Ellington, easy I got a similar choice, but White, Cooks or Colston?
  14. Pau is having a really nice WC tournament so far. It was very satisfying to see him stuff a Nene dunk just now.
  15. I understand all that, I just want them to start the process of winning as soon as possible. The Cubs have plenty, plenty money they are choosing not to spend it. I would think a fair extension for both sides would add tremendous value for winning and the bottom line. Then again, I'm a pretty impatient person. I think they can start the process of winning sooner by not committing extra money over the next few years to Bryant. Pay him in 5-6 years and make the big FA moves in the next 2 offseasons. The payroll limitations are real, mostly due to the debt servicing obligations per Brett's piece at BN.
  16. I like the starters on your roster, but the depth could have better complimented your team with younger players with late-season upside. Cutler and Wilson are both starting caliber QBs, but I don't think either is good enough to be able to use later in a trade. I probably would have just rolled with whoever I picked first and got a better WR and grabbed a late round backup (Locker, Eli, etc). Graham, Forte, White and Wallace staying healthy probably stamps a ticket to the playoffs, though. Early season waivers will be important.
  17. Does an extension actually add any value? I thought Theo recently reinforced the idea that the TV money would be what allows the Cubs to keep their star players in 2019 and beyond. If anything, I'd want to keep salary off the payroll over the next 3-4 years rather than saving it in 2020 - 2023.
  18. No Lynch. There's the DB depth. How many guys on practice squads around the league have as many starts as Frey?
  19. FIBA World Cup has been mildly interesting. The field is still uneven to the point where a lot of these games are no contest, but Brazil v Spain should be one of the better games until the final.
  20. So its down to 9? Any plan to get an even number?
  21. I find 12 to be pretty great with this roster size. 10 is pretty light but workable.
  22. I'd like Heisenberg's opinion on the matter.
  23. I slightly worry about offensive depth too but it would be far from the first thing is bring up about Bear concerns I'm counting on the Bears' offense overcoming a lot of the other deficiencies on the team, but a couple of injuries to key players on offense could expose the defense and special teams even further.
