  1. True, whats so amusing about getting wooped by Wandy!
  2. Yeah, but its about time Oswalt got injured.... Alot of experts thought he would, but that was because he had thrown 200 plus innings per year for some time now!
  3. You'd have to read the game thread to understand. Funny thing is I posted this before he got out of the jam. Just because I knew he could do it! GO Marmol! well hope he does good! Does he really have only 2 pitches? a mid to upper 90's fastball and a 12-6 curve of some sort? i still think he need one more pitch to make a good starter?! well who am i? just another fan?!?! :D
  4. hey did he even reach 90 or above??? cant remember.... wasnt really that good... but.. he also didnt have his curve ball! 89-91 FB and the gun was pretty accurate. well its still not WOOD!
  5. Randy is a converted catcher. Not exactly sure about the pitches he throws - not sure if this is right, but I think he throws a low 90s FB, a slider and a change. He's generally had pretty good control and doesn't give up too many HRs. Here are his career stats. He actually has his own journal here at NSBB: viewtopic.php?t=30283 thanks!
  6. hey can anyone tell me anything about this Randy Wells kid?
  7.  Just wait til Jarrod Saltalamacchia makes the Braves next year. And yes, he would have the longest name in MLB history. True fact......unless I'm wrong of course. hey how long did it take you to right that? :D
  8. LOL
  9. hey did he even reach 90 or above??? cant remember.... wasnt really that good... but.. he also didnt have his curve ball!
  10. The age thing is a factor, but he's still getting the job done, and then some. At the most I want to see him for another 2 years, but even that is pushing it. And him hitting #3 is only out of necessity...I don't think it should be done often or for long if needed. Like you said, keep him around for another year cheap to get ready for Patterson. Focus the money on repairing the outfield (with at least 1 more big bat) and getting another starter. perfectly said!
  11. Good, I'm glad to see the Cubs slowly work him back up. If he's going to make two more starts at the minor league level, which it sounds like he'll do, I'd rather have him pitch one at AA and one at AAA. same here
  12. i dont think he want to waste any more energy!
  13. especially when a cubs pitcher is doing it
  14. haha pitching coach is out........ and BIG Z IS COMING TO BAT !
