  1. He threw 95 pitches each of the last two times out. I'm guessing he might be on a leash of around 100, especially in July. It's interesting how Oakland handled him. Harden threw 90 pitches in his first start back, followed by 102, 105, 100, and 115. Since then, he has averaged 95 pitches with no appearances fewer than 91 pitches and none more than 99. 100 may be an arbitrary mark, but we'll see if that continues with the Cubs. 115 seems unnecessary. all these pitch counts reminds me of dare i say it (prior and wood). but i guess thats what we will have to live with. I just hope he stays healthy and doesnt remind me of those 2 again. I don't see Harden ever approaching Prior in 03 territory: 30 appearances on the season only 4 under 100 pitches 19 over 110 9 over 120 3 over 130 His last 3 starts of the 03 regular season were 123, 131, and 133. I think anything under 110 will be fine with Harden, but preferably keep it around 100. So in other words, hes fragile? Not that im shocked, its a risk we all know about.

  3. So, is there any type of pitch count or anything on harden? I love the trade especially since all we gave up is a future #3 starter at best and a bunch of guys we dont need.
  4. I still remember that homerun he had against the White sox back in '05? The day Mark Prior pitched a complete game (oh how it hurts to relive that). But I have never seen a ball carry as much as it did on that 3 run jack by dubois (if that is how you spell his name). I thought he had a great career ahead of him. But, i guess somethings just don't happen.
  5. Z over Webb and Volquez? wow.. not that im surprised, i was really not expecting this.. actually, that means i am surprised!
  6. I agree that the Cubs are the better team on paper. But, i want to see what happens on the field. Remember, The cardinals are a not so great team on paper but they still are in the race and are expected to be in the race 'til the end.
  7. If we had to choose between the two Seans who would be your choice? Gallagher or Marshall?
  8. Awesome post.
  9. yeah, same here i thought it was later in the year.
  10. If he played for New York or Boston they'd know what position he plays.HAHA, how stupid can they get? btw i agree that if he was in the east coast or Newyork or Boston they'd know what position he plays. BTW, When Theriot first came up i never thought i'd see him playing SS everyday. I saw him more of a Utility/2nd baseman. type of player.
  11. Where were all the Cubs fans yesterday? I know that there not playing at home, but its still like a home game just a bit south from it. We need to make more noise. And as far as DLee goes, STOP GIDP! STOP IT! ITS GETTING ANNOYING. Thank you.
  12. I have to say thats unbelievable. (partly because i wasnt expecting the cardinals to be a contending team.)
  13. I agree. Well lets go get 'em tommorow with Marquis. I hope we get the Sunday Night Marquis not the other one.. :? but that is the COOLEST thing about marquis...you just never know what is going to amble up on that mound each game!!! hoooray! Yeah, and i just noticed that Halladay is pitching for the Jays.. well lets atleast take 1 in this series..
  14. I agree. Well lets go get 'em tommorow with Marquis. I hope we get the Sunday Night Marquis not the other one.. :?
  15. Broken up on a walk and a basehit by Arroyo.
  16. I thought i was the only one who thought that.. I cant bare listening to him, he's AWFUL!...
  17. Parisi gets the Cardinals back in the game.. how the soap do they keep getting lucky? 7-3 washington now..
  18. Theriot on base four times tonight. Two singles, two walks. Awesome!!!... kinda makes me forget the times when we was slumping (at the start of the year)
