  1. I think this is more like an infant telling him to make that trade.
  2. If you want me to, I'll come over and punch you in the face. You only live about 2 blocks away I think. If you do, make sure to tape it and post it on youtube for us to enjoy.
  3. The numbers seem to disagree with you: 220/245/300/545
  4. So funny....... and so original. He hits REALLY well for a 46-year old, doesn't he? Got anything new? Your post is an idiot.
  5. And we assume it for Pujols as well since it is well known that he is really 46 years old. I think his grandkids gave that away.
  6. how on earth does a manager have another stick on the bench after 31 innings of baseball? Now pinch hitting, number 87 - Jose Macias. [note]Dusty was not the manager[/note]
  7. and he's just my type...
  8. Kinda like the one last year when we got Wood, Williamson, and Nomar back right around 8/1?
  9. I pick Aramis because he will go on to hit 1327 homers and Rolen soon will be shipped off to resurrect the Duke lacrosse team. Everybody knows that.
  10. Only the Astros and Brewers have walked him more over the past 3 seasons. MIL - 34 HOU - 33 CHC - 29 CIN - 23 PIT - 21 Surprisingly, the Cards are the only team in the division that have yet to issue him a free pass. :-k
  11. If Wood is not brought back, Maddux should definitely be retained for a 1 year + option deal. If Wood comes back, Maddux at a reduced price wouldn't be a terrible thing.
  12. Vin Scully and vintage Greg Maddux. Now that's baseball.
  13. Strength and conditioning. The recovery process includes about 4 months of doing basically nothing with that shoulder. The stuff will still be there, he just needs the arm strength (speed).
  14. If he keeps pitching like he has, he can say whatever he wants. :D He's right, and he's done it masterfully over the years. Why let someone go deep when you can put him on and get the next guy?
  15. That I can agree with. I haven't seen him play the field yet, but I saw him trying to leg out a double a couple days ago. It looked painful. He ran like my grandma. His knee has got to be about shot.
  16. Yes. More funny injuries
  17. The cake's in the mail! Happy belated b-day!
  18. I thought it was Wood's labrum all along. I don't recall anything being done on his rotator cuff. You are correct. It was the labrum. Nothing wrong with the rotator cuff.
  19. That would make me feel like punching Roger Clemens in the face.
  20. If I'm not mistaken, Wood had the same surgery Matt Morris did last year, right? He's 2-0 on the year, but anyone know how he's looked and where his velocity is at, etc. I remember Morris' last year with the Cards and you could tell the pop and velocity wasn't there. It's not entirely accurate to say that Wood had the same surgery as anyone or to look at anyone to gauge how he should come back. There are varying degrees of damage that are done to the labrum, and the repair isn't necessarily the same for different people. Having said that, any loss of velocity that Morris may or may not have can likely be contributed to the fact that he's now on the wrong side of 30, and really has been on the decline since that "breakout" season in 2001.
  21. Bad contracts aside, his shoulder is repaired now. There's a 95% success rate over 20 years with surgically repaired labrums, and it happens to a lot more people than just those who throw 95+ for a living. It's understandable to be a bit skeptical, but you should understand the injury and recovery process before jumping to conclusions.
  22. Don't you think you may be exaggerating just a bit?
  23. I think somebody's not a Wood fan.
  24. as opposed to the non-steroid and non-Edmonds discussions here, which are on the verge of curing cancer. Thanks for making me laugh out loud at work.
