  1. Random image posting of something really adorable that became horribly sexualized by certain people on this board. Ahh, you started it?
  2. For anyone who's been with this through thick and mostly thin -- how the hell did a chicken and a cat get brought into this?
  3. What caused 20000 hits on 12/7 last year? Well, the winter meetings last year were the reason for the hits. But that was the day of my plane crash, which is what made the day memorable for me. I forgot you downed that plane.
  4. It easily has the "meaningless content" award locked up.
  5. Weenie! QFT Last Poster Posting Competition I'm an insomniac so you are all in trouble What, is this now a post where the last person to post wins? It's guaranteed the mods are going to cheat. :( I have no shame -- I'll kill people if I have to.
  6. I wonder if Loney can play RF?
  7. If Bob Sanders was playing the Colts would have won. And if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle. What's your point? Why cant you people just leave me alone and let me be a sore loser (or sore person rooting for a team that lost)? I thought we were bonding. They don't appreciate the greatness that is Bob Sanders. It's their loss really. True story: Bob Sanders was at Castleton Mall signing autographs last year and I didnt have anything for him to sign so I just had him sign my cell phone....which I now use to pretend I'm calling him during games....none of my friends think its funny anymore, but I do. You're lucky Bob Sanders didn't smash your cellphone with his cold, piercing stare.

  9. If Bob Sanders was playing the Colts would have won. If Bob Sanders was playing, the Cowboys would cease to exist.
  10. GREATEST. THREAD. EVER. Top that, gatewayredbirds!
  11. Who came first -- the chicken or the cat?
  12. uh somewhere in this thread theres a point i made where 122 games of JD Drew is a heck of a lot better than 162 games of Soriano in CF. You can like up all of the GM's in baseball, and if you provided them a choice of Drew for 122 games, or Soriono for 162 games, they will take Soriono for 162...all of them. Start calling. I want proof of that.
  13. I'm gonna stick with the classic Fonzie. Gloria
  14. I'm having fun. :thumleft: (don't these things make non-premium people curious what the heck this is for or what it looks like?) Yes, I appreciate the acknowledgment too, :angry non-premium guy:
  15. It's approaching all-time top 5 status.
  16. I thought I saw 148 somewhere.
  17. Negative = Me, KC, Jon, TT, Navin, CubsinNY, Rob (might have missed a few) Positive= Everyone else You're missing a category. There are people who are still unsure, and want to wait to hear the official numbers of the deal. Put me in that category. I see. Personally I rather like the move. While I'm not terribly excited about 8 years (but then again, who is?), I am very happy to have him here. As far as the deal I see Hendry as partially stuck in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. If he doesn't sign anyone big people will call him stupid for not trying and if he does pay an insane deal that todays STUPID baseball market demands, people say hes wasting money. That's actually where most people are -- good to see them make a splash and get some talent, bad to see them go so many years and oh so many dollars on someone who is nearly my age. Then someone called someone else's mother fat or something and all hell broke loose.
  18. I would certainly hope nobody is entertaining that idea. C Lee money = JD Drew money. That is a no-brainer if there ever was such a thing. On the other hand, Lee is a horse, while Drew is like Mark Prior; even the slightest little nick and he's on the DL. I'd rather have a guy with a lifetime OPS of 1000 at Wrigley Field, knowing he will start 150+ games a year for me. And like D Lee, C Lee has deceptive speed--19 stolen bases? Assuming the Cubs can pawn Jones off on someone, I'd happily move Murton to RF, put Lee in LF, with Fonzie in the middle. What an awesome lineup we'd have at that point. All Hendry would need do then is trade Prior and Pie for Miggy Tejada, and we have our own version of Murderer's Row. I thought Tejada didn't want to move to 2B? I doubt ARod's going to move there. Interesting predicament...
  19. I doubt he'll beat out ARod for the job.
  20. COMPARE THEIR CAREERS. PLEASE. YOU ARE FAILING TO REALIZE THAT DREW HAS BEEN REALLY GOOD OVER THE COURSE OF HIS CAREER, WITH SOME OF HIS BETTER WORK COMING MORE RECENTLY AND THE FACT THAT SORIANO'S CAREER YEAR LAST YEAR BROUGHT A SLIGHTLY LOWER OPS+ THAN DREW'S AVERAGE.
