  1. tough choice, but in the end I had to go with Daniels
  2. they'd be idiotic not to look at other options if they're seriously considering Inge that said, last i read is they're looking in-house (Nomar, LaRoche, etc)
  3. Yes, that makes me feel so much better after hearing about yet another round of freezing rain, snow, and sleet that's making its way through here tonight and all day tomorrow. Thanks for finally putting that smile back on my face. Well I had to scrape ice off my windshield twice in the past week before work. Is that better? Holy crap, I'm now so giddy that I've piddled myself. Keep up the kind words, fellas!

  5. typo - he may actually be 47
  6. I don't know any of either
  7. God, PLEASE let that become his nic-name. I prefer "the Fukudome"
  8. oh my favorite starts with a "p" alright, but it's not on that list it's also a crime that strawberry isn't an option
  9. Maybe I'm just not attracted to him in the same way others are, but I think that's quite steep.
  10. Am I thinking of a different Brian Roberts? That's awfully steep.
  11. Run this one by the Twins people -- Marquis for Santana and cash
  12. you don't understand, he throws balls like they're frickin lasers
  13. Is Sullivan's math really bad, or did the Cubs pick up more of Jones' salary than was originally reported? Jones is due $5M, and the Cubs sent $2M in the deal
  14. I have arguments for both sides: 1. It was Paul Sullivan, it was probably taken out of context 2. Hendry's comments over time have shown he typically means exactly what he says
  15. Detroit's payroll looks to be about the same as the Cubs, yet look at the offense they were able to assemble with that money. They'll score eleventy billion more runs in April alone.
  16. I wonder if they'll consider keeping him
  17. Swisher's good at hitting a baseball, but he's really good at getting on base -- plus he just turned 27
  18. He could play left, but of course moving Soriano to right field hasn't crossed Jimbo's mind. Not that I'm saying Blalock is the answer at the 'open' OF spot. I'm inclined to believe moving anyone from their spot has never crossed Hendry's mind. ARod and Cabrera are third basemen, and we already have one of those. He's looking for someone who already plays RF and bats lefty.
