I'll concede a couple of those, but come on. -
Subjective evaluation of past performances already includes their "hustle", and those evaluations have taught us that Reed Johnson isn't as good defensively as you think he is.

Except for the fact that Colvin has forgotten how to hit and isn't much better than Soriano defensively, if he even is at all.

Exactly who should he be replaced with?

Soriano has 4.5 years on the Cubs and 5.5 in the National League, so I don't think he'd have 5 and 10 rights. The rest of them would, of course. The 10 applies to MLB service time, not time in a particular league.

Bulls announcers said "Michael" for years And had I watched Bulls games, I would have hated it.

My only issue with the call is him saying "Brandon". I hate it when announcers use first names or nicknames like that.
