with regard to walker's injury... http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20050923&content_id=1220907&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
i cant see the game, but i'd like to be mad too, so what did corey do? Really bad jump and piss poor effort on a hit to middle centerfield that my dog would have caught, but it landed right at his shoes and he didn't dive for it. Now I'm sure he'll strikeout in this atbat. gah.
darn. :x oh well, good job today fellas. props to carlos for the CG, and to murton for spotlighting dusty's incompetence once again. nice HR off a RHP, kid.
neifi and burnitz are the only cubs without a hit. and unless im mistaken, neifi is the only cub who hasnt reached in some way, shape, or form. i usually tend to be indifferent towards neifi, but just thought id jump on the bandwagon today.
And a Carpenter loss was one of the only good things left about this game. (Especially/because of Carlos). all the more reason to go for broke and start a fight.
for whatever reason, i really wanna see a brawl before the game is over. i mean empty dugouts, bloody noses and missing teeth. lets just go all out today.
It depends if they were supposed to go on contact or not. I would imagine that since the infield was back they were, in which case it's on Burnitz. if it was on murton, im sure we'll hear about it after the game from dusty.
