I don't think Dunn should net a front-line starter. That said, I don't think he's being shopped. It isn't uncommon for fans to undervalue other team's talent, and overvalue their favorite team's talent. Dunn has top 10 offensive numbers in numerous categories, including the Sabremetric friendly and coveted stats of the current era of baseball. And at age 26, he should continue that peak level performance for at least 3 more years, and not at a price that kills. Dunn's production per dollar is killer. The blinders have to come off at some point. Talent like Dunn's is definately worth a front-line starter, especially considering his top level production level is steady and predictable, a rarity in baseball. Sorry but I'm not wearing blinders. Dunn is not equal to a quality starter. The Reds don't even value him that much (and the rest of the League isn't attempting to give them a front-line starter in a trade). The truth is, they would have taken Rich Hill for him.
