  1. WOw, the MIL/Hou score is now 12 to 10 Astros in the top of the 8th. 1 out
  2. Good start: Furcal taps back to Z
  3. Make that 9 to 2 Houston (Oswalt with a 2 RBI single). The Brewers are toast tonight.
  4. Gotta love that Cards bullpen. Oh yeah, Soup gave up 8.
  5. Pujols is great but the Cardinals aren't going anywhere as long as their bullpen is in shambles.
  6. The big ball park will help but Z has to keep his walks down to be effective.
  7. Seems to me that the Cubs pitch around him alot. Apparently, others have not yet caught on.... I don't think the Cubs pitch around Pujols at all. Overall, he has gotten his share of hits but the Cubs did a good job of keeping him to one hit in the last series (without a big number of walks).
  8. First it was the last week of April, then it was first week of May, now its speculated to be the second week of May. Slowly the time table goes further and further away. Makes me wonder if, even with the knee setback, he could have been ready much earlier if he wasn't pitching in a futile attempt to finish .500 last year. I think Rothschild is being extra cautious. Plus, the team is continuing to win so it's buying extra rehab time for all the guys.
  9. I think it normal. The rehab is designed to rebuild the arm. It sounds like they're hopeful that he'll continue to regain his stuff.
  10. They won't have to because I expect Wood and Prior to return (no to mention Miller's Cubs debut). Realistically, this team isn't going anywhere this season without at least two of those three pitching at the top of their game. I think relying on rookies to come through in pressure situations is asking too much.
  11. I love this quote in today's Daily Southtown I think Woody is going to be in 2003 form (if not better) when he returns.
  12. Clement I dont think Clement was bleeding. I thought I remembered lots of blood. Maybe not.
  13. Lee drilled one right back to the pitcher who caught it in self-defense He didn't know he had it at first; he looked around then in the glove. DLee looked at him incredulously...
  14. DLee frustrated tonight. He'll probably get them tomorrow.
  15. Blah, Lidge shut the door in the 9th. Astros win 8 to 7
