  1. Burnitz singles after Nomar lines out to LF Macias singles Bases loaded with one out
  2. Aramis with a leadoff hit. Come on Nomar
  3. Waker singles past the second baseman
  4. Yeah, Prior gave up 6 last time too, he's not worth anything. It's one thing to be upset at the occurences in this game...it's another to say something outlandish. He's a defense away from still having a 1-1 tie game. No to mention the first Met run was a joke! Hill was more of a victim of the defense behind him than the boxscore will reflect.
  5. Rich Hill is on his way to the showers Most of this isn't Rich's fault. Unfortunately, he has some questionable defenders behind him.
  6. Double steal still no body out stupid
  7. The madness continues... Why not throw to 3rd?????
  8. Bad decisions all over the infield. Why not take the sure out at first?
  9. Hills gets a lot of bloop hits 2-1 Walks kill
  10. Come on Barrett, two consecutive 3-0 counts and you dont go and talk to the pitcher? Take control.
  11. Unfortunately sitting on the bench hinders his development, as he still has some things to work on. If he's not going to get regular playing time, then he should be in AAA. He's only 22. His "develpment" will pickup where it left off when he becomes the Cubs everyday SS in 2006 (?) or beyond. Either he can play or he can't. There are guys who spend their entire career in the minors and never develop into ML quality. this is just ignorant - cedeno has things that need to be worked on, and without regular playing time, he will not be able to do that. he needs to be playing in the majors or be sent down to the minors. I love how you call me ignorant because my opinion differs with yours. That's the best way to get anyone to see your point Met 1-0 on cheap Beltran hit.
  12. We're already starting this game on a high note. LOL

  14. Actually I do feel sorry for Ronny. The Cubs are doing their best to screw up his career. Oh come on, the Cubs have no intention of screwing up his career. He just isn't high on the 25 man pecking order. I'm sure if you asked him he would tell you he prefers sitting on the bench in the ML over spending time toiling in the Minors (playing everyday) but having a doubt in his mind about whether or not he will get another chance to play for the Cubs (arguably the fear of every minor league player).
  15. As fans we are disappointed because we don't get to see him play everyday but don't fool yourself, I think Matt Murton and his mom are both happy for the bragging rights (of being a Major League player) and the raise in pay he gets playing for the Cubs. Playing everyday is fine but there's also knowlege to be gleaned through living the life of a major leaguer as well as watching and talking to experienced players. I'm also sure Matt doesn't miss those long minor league bus rides when he can travel first class with the Big team... Don't feel sorry for Matt or Ronny. They are happy to be with the Cubs.
  16. I'd be willing to bet he didn't go to NY with the team (just a guess). They probably let he and Mitre know the team's intentions yesterday following the game. I dont see any team paying travel expenses for a player soon to be designated for assignment. I think he was referring to the Yankees picking him up. Ah, ok that makes more sense considering the Yankees have becomes Baseball's depository of formerly good pitchers... I wonder how long Jeff Fassero will be in San Fran? :D

  18. I doubt it. His tour of duty with the Braves came and went years ago.
  19. I'm sure that Hairston's injury helped to secure Cedeno's spot.
