Nope. You just have to make sure they aren't on anyone's roster and weren't already picked. It'll be a big step forward for your team of you don't draft Buxton with your second round pick

Denard Robinson wasn't even the starting QB at the end of the season, was he? He was injured. What does that have to do with anything? He was injured yet still played, right? You know the answers to these questions. Or you can easily find them.

Did they lose a lot of recruits last year? That happened to Weis at ND, but I thought he may have learned that a verbal doesn't mean you can stop talking to a recruit. He actually recruited incredibly well at ND. Didn't develop non-QBs terribly well, but his recruiting was great. I could see KU seeing a definite bump in recruiting rankings.

Sounds like BK wasn't too surprised (quote from this morning's SB Tribune): "I don't know what happened before we got here," he said. And they know that coming in. "So if you're a quarterback and you don't think I'm going to bring in Malik Zaire to beat you out, then you need to transfer. I do it in the right way. I'm not saying it's a callous, cold way of doing it, but my job is to continue to bring in the best fits for Notre Dame, both on and off the field. So if you're a bit uneasy about the situation, then I welcome your transfer. "I've done it since I've been at Grand Valley (State) that way -- try to continue that competition within the ranks, because the guys that crack are the ones you want to crack. I can tell you if the program's humming and it's doing it the right way, you're going to have some transfers, because you're building competition within the ranks. "And it's always going to be that way."

Here's my vote (I'm unaffected): if playoffs aren't going to be selected by overall record, but by divisions, then the draft order should be decided the same way. If you don't make the playoffs b/c you're in the "wrong" division, then you should get an earlier draft pick. You had no chance at a title, and all the playoff teams did. Doesn't seem fair that a team could be the last one to make the playoffs, win the whole damn thing, and pick 8th in the draft over some non-playoff teams.

And an OT's career is over and ND is down to 83 players. Guess we should have signed 35 guys and just cut some after spring tryouts...er practice.

Good luck. He's in a tough spot behind a guy with 3 years left. If these rumored destinations are accurate, yikes: Ball State, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois and Cincinnati.
