  1. My son was going to pick FGCU. I told him "I'd never heard of FGCU until 5 min ago and they're a #15 playing #2 Georgetown. Just pick Georgetown." He responds "Well I've never heard of Georgetown." But he picked them anyway. I won't hear the end of that for a while.
  2. Called it. You're on notice Ohio State. The West region was a nightmare for me last year also. I hope you're right
  3. Others suggested he was an idiot and your post seemed to support that by pointing out (bad? dumb?) girls he dated. I don't really know what point you were making. I was really just interested in soccer's response since he seemed pretty worked about it.
  4. I think that means Takahashi wins the last bullpen spot, unless I'm forgetting about someone. Wade, possibly. Bogusevic going down must mean that Stewart isn't starting the year on the DL, right? Or am I misunderstanding the machinations and they'll bring back one of Bogusevic/Maysonet/Watkins/etc once they're forced to place Stewart on the DL? The infield bench would be Lillibridge and Clevenger, presumably. Bleh, Clevenger. Get well soon Ian. On the plus side, our IF is young and seems pretty durable (don't know about Valbuena, I guess). So hopefully that doesn't hurt us that much.
  5. I don't recall much about the custody thing. Maybe I'd hate him if I knew more.
  6. Neither of those are dream girls to me. But we're going to knock an athlete for nailing what many would consider fairly hot blondes? Ok. NFL player has sex with playboy bunny and rich blonde girl most famous for making a sex tape. That makes him an idiot? Seems like we're hitting the bottom of this particular barrel now.
  7. Didn't he make like $80m in his time with the Bears? Not counting all the chances to suck off the advertising teat in a football insane major market? Eh. I may be coming off pretty meatball, but I couldn't care less about him leaving. It sounds like you care quite a bit. Because I had a strong opinion? Might be bc you sound pretty pissed at him, as if he offended you personally, and there doesn't seem to be a ton of rational support for your strong feelings.
  8. Didn't he make like $80m in his time with the Bears? Not counting all the chances to suck off the advertising teat in a football insane major market? Eh. I may be coming off pretty meatball, but I couldn't care less about him leaving. I don't know what he made. My point was he wasn't in public contract disputes and holding out all the time. I guess I don't see what point you were making with ARam being a good soldier. Seemed like you were setting up a juxtaposition and I don't see one on that point.
  9. Yeah. It was him knocking up a stripper and not his assholish behavior after. Also, most football players are loyal to their coaches and what not. It's part of the meatball code of the game. That shouldn't be lauded. That's whatever. He wasn't particularly loyal to a couple QBs over the years either. If he was so loyal, he would have looked at the cap situation and realized that it wasn't "lack of respect" driving that offer; it was a limited budget. Guess I'm missing something. None of that seems like a big deal to me.
  10. As in, he won't even get a contract for next year?
  11. Given your reaction to ARam's situation I was interested to see your response. Surprised. There are a lot of reasons to dislike Urlacher. As a player, he's past prime and has always been a thin skinned whiner who can't handle the business side of the game. The Bears are better off without him, given the salary cap limitations in place. ARam was still productive and had always been a good soldier. As a single parent, he's a clown assed clown who deserves zero respect on a personal level. So basically SSR:Mark Grace = USS:Urlacher. And LOL @ Jersey telling me to get a grip. What does being a single parent have to do with it? What am I missing? I don't recall Urlacher whining in public when he was leading the best defense in the league and his team couldn't put an offense out there that could score at all. I don't remember him complaining about not getting paid enough during his 13 years. Did I miss it? I'll admit that I don't follow the NFL as closely as some other sports but I'm shocked at how so many fans, including here, are basically like "meh, [expletive] off brian."
  12. Those are major?
  13. Given your reaction to ARam's situation I was interested to see your response. Surprised.
  14. Bob Diaco: great man or greatest man? "You're making a cake — a sweet vanilla cake — but you run out of vanilla and you decide to put chili powder in there. It's a completely different cake. Do you understand? It tastes nothing like you expect it to. In fact, you might not even like it." I'm sure what the Q was or if there was one at all.
  15. Jarvis Jones picked a good day to run slow.
  16. Everyone's a Jackrabbit tonight
  17. Smart. He wasn't even worth 2M last year, so even that offer was a gamble he'd rebound. $4M is too much and I don't see him getting that elsewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If they'd offered $3 with incentives or maybe $2.5 with incentives I bet he'd take it. Even staying at $2 and giving $1 in incentives shows some willingness to negotiate. If he turns that down, ok, you tried. I get the financial decision and maybe it's best not to have him even for $2. But from a player and fan relations perspective, I wonder if the extra mil would be worth it. Taking a hard line stance with the face of the franchise and one of the best players in the league (at his peak), even if a good financial decision, is often not the best overall approach. This isn't Wes Welker. *This assumes that the players like and respect Urlacher.
  18. Just wait until after the waiver process starts. Then your minor leaguer will be a free agent and you can pick them up without losing your waiver position. What's the over/under on prospects that were drafted in the MiLB draft being picked up by a team that didn't draft them? Whatever it is, I take the over.
  19. According to espn, Urlacher countered with $3.5m with $500k incentives and the Bears refused to budge.
  20. It really isn't. Then I wish people would stop giving him the attention he's begging for
  21. Well, you can but we're trying to shoot for realism, so...... I'm joking. I just hate the pack and UM so it seemed like a good fit.
  22. I'll take the Pack if and only if I can draft Jordan Kovacs in the first round
  23. SEC! SEC! SEC! Our boys are more concerned with dominating college football. Apologies on our behalf. OUR BOYS LMAO Please tell me you're joking, snayke. He's been doing this since mizzou joined. Its funny
