  1. there's a surprise.
  2. He's still a relief pitcher, isn't he? We don't have specific spots for closers. So he's not really losing his role. lol. And a player that's been moved to the bench is still eligible at his position. He's just not the starter.
  3. And Miller has made 13 starts. You can't keep swapping the 2 of them back and forth between your active roster and the minors. Your roster has been illegal all week and at least part of last week.
  4. btw - truffle, Teheran made his 10 MLB start on 5/31, so you can't put him back in the minors
  5. Seriously? "The active roster must be set by noon Monday each week and cannot be changed unless there is a benching, demotion to the minors, fantasy trade or injury." Losing your job isn't a benching?
  6. Why can't Wilhelmsen tear his hammy off? BTW - does removal from the closer's role constitute a "benching" and allow me to make a mid-week change for a RP?
  7. Added Lind to start for Cespedes since every player on my team was given hammy's that are too short
  8. Almost nothing at all. Maybe less.
  9. I disagree as to the increased value. It's incredibly significant - again maybe 10+ points per week. That's esp true if you see a starting lineup before the games start and see a player sitting and are able to make another change. Those players are very valuable in daily leagues. Besides, it doesn't take many additional points to sway most matchups. Probably less important when your team struggles to break 200 most weeks...
  10. That's the problem mooch. With a short bench, guys with eligibility at many positions (zobrist, carpenter, etc) become very valuable bc you can cover daily holes easily with just 1 guy. With a weekly lineup those extra eligibility guys are less valuable bc you can find starters for each position at the beginning of the week (they still have extra value, but not nearly as much when you can't make daily changes). With a deep bench, you could find and stash a backup at all or most positions. In our league, you'd have certain guys suddenly become much more valuable than they are now bc each week they might give their owners 10+ points than they'd get in a weekly league. I don't see the sense in making that mid-season change. That's the kind of change that everyone should know at the start of the year.
  11. What's it like to have someone come off the DL without having other players go on it? Must be a great feeling. I think I'm going to stop playing guys that have hamstrings.
  12. The rule changes player value significantly, esp in a league with such a short bench. It doesn't make sense to make a change that alters the value of players after 2 months.
  13. After this week I finally get a crack at the 2 teams with the lowest points total (tuna and owls) having already beaten the 2 top scoring teams.
  14. Manager of the year is locked up early I guess
  15. I don't think you can change to a daily league midseason as that sort of changed alters strategy and player value in a way that wasn't considered in the draft and the first 3 months. I don't see the same issue with having waivers run every day and having them last 2 days. That seems to be the way other leagues handle them, even weekly leagues.
  16. I agree with SP that waivers should only last 2 days. I proposed that earlier for the same reason that raw just brought up.
  17. I'd be all for that next year. That's a pretty big change to make mid season.
  18. Now that it won't change their matchup, I'll point out that this rule is so obvious that Quakers, who has puig and who made roster moves for other reasons this week, didn't realize he could take advantage of puig's 30+ performance. It's hard to take Seth Smith out of the lineup, I suppose. It'd be really helpful if all the rules were accurate and complete and in the same location so everyone knew them.
  19. Obvious how? The rule lists several reasons that you can make a lineup change - all of which concern things happening to players already in your lineup. This is not listed among those exceptions.
  20. Oldest guy is a 22-year-old freshman. All the guys are within 18 months in age
  21. So this is an exception to the lineup rule too? Boy it'd be awesome if there were a place that had all the rules so everyone in the league had least had a chance to know them all.
  22. Is moustakas hurt? You can't make midweek lineup changes just bc a player sucks.
  23. Moreland injured his hammy last night and will have an MRI today. Added Pena to replace him. Hopefully he has a 10+ day, no-DL hammy injury so he can be Pagan's twin in that regard.
  24. Your predecessor is the one that brought this issue with the system to light about 11 months ago.
