    Have you mentally blocked out the Joe Carter years? even Joe Carter can't hold a candle to Dave Otto. holy. [expletive]. Carter was way worse. At least Otto could form actual words when he was talking.

    He's not really wrong on either account. Isn't his ERA a lot lower than his FIP and xFIP? He's certainly in an optimal situation with great defense all over the place. Even without that though, he's a very solid middle of the rotation guy with a mid 3s ERA who's eating innings and keeping the pen from being burned up.

    Meh, I have a hard time feeling too bad for him. Between all the stupid things he's done and his millions in the bank, he just doesn't muster up much sympathy from me.
