  1. My entire fantasy team.
  2. There is nothing wrong with having a leadoff hitter with a little pop, but there's a big problem when said leadoff hitter has the second most pop on the team. Really, what good does Soriano do if he hits 30 homers and drives in 50 runs? The team wouldn't be better off if he hit 5th and still hit 30 homers and drove in 100 runs instead? You pay a guy that much money because you expect him to be a run producer. You can't be a run producer whenever you hit behind Cesar Izturis and a pitcher.
  3. At least they have hope for the future.
  4. Here's hoping for a year-long suspension!
  5. If we were going to pay $136 million for a crappy leadoff hitter that doesn't walk, we should have just kept Juan Pierre and saved the money. It makes no sense to stick a guy with that much pop at the top of the order, regardless of how fast he is. $136 million should buy you a lot more than 30 solo homers a year.
  6. \ Screw that. If we are involved in a Miguel Cabrera trade, then I want us to be the ones that end up with Miggy.
  7. Great move, Dusty. Was Dave Veres unavailable?
  8. My teams are the Jets, Cubs, and Clippers. How's that for random?
  9. I already knew the orgin of "can of corn" because Buck Martinez explained it on Triple Play '98.
  10. I'm a Jets fan, but I would rather watch the Dolphins than the Cubs right now.
  11. I'd feel like we were dead in the water. This team, as is, is not going to make the playoffs. Nomar coming back to play 4 games every 5 days is not going to be a significant enough upgrade for us to keep pace with Houston and St. Louis. The bar has been raised. The Cubs cannot hover above .500 all season and then try to make a run in September. With the way Houston is playing, it will be too little, too late.
