I'm so glad I didn't watch this. Watching it makes it so personal. I'm sure I would have broken something had I watched this. But instead, I'm surprisingly calm.
That's pretty much how everyone reacted when the TV was first introduced. They even said it was "of the devil". Of course, we all know that crazy invention is outlawed now, right? HAHAHAHAHAH
The guy is clearly suffering from a persecution complex, and no offense to Jeff Passen, but this is the story has been done a thousand times before with a thousand different "outcasts". On par with the journalism cliche of the "beloved scrappy underdog"is the "downtrodden outcast with revolutionary ideas if only the mainstream would just listen". Oh gag me.
Sweet! +3 BalsaWoodKeyboard is the originator. I just changed it a little. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I wish to credit it to my finals and procrastination. Also, this game is gonna ROCK. Two awesome young pitchers. Get ready for a pitchers duel!!!
You can find that quote with the daily Carrie "literary scribe" at cubs.com. That's disappointing but Lou's actions have already shown that he favors veterans over the young guys. You can't sit vets in April and May? Then when can they sit? In the thick of a pennant race in the 2nd half? I wish someone would ask Lou about this. Maybe he meant that vets tend to wear down towards the end of the year, and that's the time to call up the youngsters who still have energy?
No, he shouldn't get big money, he should get less money. Something along the lines of 4/60. Or, if we get an offer we can't refuse, trade him. To trade him for peanuts would be selling too low, and to let him walk would be even greater insanity.
I guess if they score like 23 runs off of him, he could still finish. Big Z and Lilly let their pitchcounts limit them, so I see Rich Hill as the only clear choice. A fool is me.
