  1. Come on bats. I don't want to lose to the Pirates. Not with Marshall pitching so well.
  2. What happened?? Previous non-call against the Pirates baserunner that CLEARLY moved out of the bathpath to avoid a Ramirez tag and the double play. Dude moves to third, one play later he scores. Complete bollocks and why Marshall won't get the win he so clearly deserves and why the game is tied.
  3. Man, I'm still pissed off about Marshall having that run in, and the tie game. That was just an AWFUL officiating call.
  4. Yeah, I don't give JJ the green light there.
  5. Fearless prediction: Jones has at least 3 hits. Rammy goes deep.
  6. Thought this was Hendrix? Touche on the preppy call. I still like the Bluesy aspect of the Stones that the Beatles never approaced though. And I'd agree that the Stones should have hung up the spikes after Jones died. I've just bought a harmonica, and that guy had some talent.
  7. \:D/
  8. Gorgeous. And I don't think it's too early to say that our bullpen is SIGNIFICANTLY better than last year. This makes me much more comfortable heading with leads into the late innings, and also helps lessen the pressure on starting pitchers. Nice. I think it's also been a big part of the 'Comeback Cubs' we've seen so far. The team doesn't get down on itself heading into the late innings, and when our bullpen can hold them off, it gives us a chance to come back offensively. Kudos to Hendry on the bullpen I say.
  9. First Dempster, then Williamson. I hope Hedry can make it 3 for 3 on reclamation projects with Miller. Chad Fox? Not Hendry's fault, Fox was doing a great job before he became the 2nd of 3 Cubs pitchers to be injured by a line drive. I'm pretty sure that that's not how Fox got injured. http://www.war2003action.com/files/IRAQ_ARMS_CACHE_200_ROCKET_PROPELLED_GRENACES_BLOWN_UP_APR_4.jpg
  10. Eyre and Howry are awesome. I am really glad Hendry picked them up.
  11. Thank you. Thank you. I know I'm late, but I just got home. Wow. That was a gutsy call too. Especially with the wind blowing in and Cedeno not homering yet.
  12. He's always been very good. Wow, quick check to ESPN verifies this. He's always been excellent.
  13. I thought Damian Miller was crap at throwing out runners?
  14. Uh, not really. It was a 3-1 count. Who is coming up after JJ? Neifi, Blanco, Maddux. Not exactly RBI machines. I'd say it was a fine place to run. Better to let JJ swing, if he gets out then Neifi/Blanco/Maddux go down 1-2-3 the next inning and you go back to the top of the order for the inning after that. I would disagree, although that is a really good point. I would argue that with the Cubs up by 3, and Maddux on the mound, if Murton can get into scoring position it would be much easier for Jones/Neifi/Blanco to score him. Worth the risk imo. Plus, there might be a PH for Maddux.
  15. I could tell instantly from Maddux's body language when he was talking to Rothschild that he was gassed. We're lucky we escaped that inning without harm.
