  1. Uh, not really. It was a 3-1 count. Who is coming up after JJ? Neifi, Blanco, Maddux. Not exactly RBI machines. I'd say it was a fine place to run.
  2. Can you hear that? That's CEDENO thundery baby.

  5. slacker Jerks. Last year he was 2-1 with a 4.80 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, and a .328 BAA against the Brewers. Regardless, he'll still dominate tomorrow. As per Mr. Miles
  6. Wow, still a lot of Cubs tickets available for today....
  7. I saw give them the Aardvark. I don't think anyone would miss him.
  8. I just saw the video. Wow. Regardless of legal possibilities, there is no way baseball can tolerate this kind of attitude and danger to umpires. That is one of the inset rules of the game, that what the umpire says goes and you have to abide by that. Delmon is not only guilty of throwing a bat, but breaking one of the fundamental pillars of the game, that the umpire is not to be messed with. I don't see this as any different than if a pitcher, having missed his strikeout call, walks off the mound, turns around, and fires one into the chest protector of the ump. Which, in my very humble opinion, should be a season-long suspension. On a side note, Delmon is certainly not gonna get any close calls from umpires for a while.
  9. Veal's lucky he escaped with just one run...
  10. Veal throws a pickoff move into the stands. :x
  11. I have no problem with this if he's getting back at Perez.
  12. Without having seen the video, it's hard to say what I think the punishment should be, but given that it was an underhanded flip and probably not on purpose, I'd say just give him a long summer vacation.
  13. I'd rather have Willis than Cabrera. Cabrera has a bad attitude and has put on weight. As soon as his contract is up, he'll be more expensive than Pujols. Willis is a young, dominating left handed pitcher, with a good team attitude.
  14. So let's see. He gives Jones a chance to see lefties to see if he can break years of lefty hitting crapage, but then when Murton and Cedeno comes up he takes them out against left handed hitters? Where's the sense in that?
  15. Dusty played a part, but the bullpen simply didn't hold up today. Especially Williamson. The Marlins took advantage of the walks we gave them, and we didn't take advantage of ours (enough). Dusty made some bad decisions, but he was not the person that lost today's game.
  16. Come on Mabry. Use that Card magic and send one deep.
  17. Don't get your hopes up. Looks like a possible 5 pitch ninth. Hey, I know you're joking around and stuff, but I'd rather not be corrected on my optimism (however poorly advised it may be). I'd appreciate if you'd "Get off my cloud", and let the Cubs bring me down instead.
  18. I think a Blanco homer is in order. He's hasn't been his usual 'Hank White' clutchness recently. Let's hope the Comeback Cubs can do it again.
  19. So Neifi or Restovich was gonna lead off with a single or a walk? Please.
  20. One word: Booya. The Big Murt comes through again.
  21. Pitcher's spot up right now. Double switch totally not useless.
