Not by much, but Yes..he's a better hitter than Guzman or Hill. That makes him better than Hairston, too. Which by default puts him above Brynum. -

It's almost getting funny for me. How many different ways can we kill rallys and prevent runs from being scored, even with runners on or the bases loaded. It's exciting to see how creative the Cubs players can get. This season = joke. And not even a funny one. I mean, we've heard all this before. -- Kerry Prior injured (check) -- Young pitchers struggling to replace them (check) -- Big Bat out of lineup for extended period of time (check) -- Really, REALLY awful bench players (check) When our pitchers throw well, we can't score runs. Check.

There's no way our division remains this strong. I don't see this as the NL East of last year. I say about six games back.

JJ not hitting lefties disappoints me, but doesn't surprise me. What is more worrying and surprising is Ronny Cedeno's performance versus left handers. .121/.171/.121 OUCH. Especially when you look at his RH stats: .423/.444/.673

I just found this website which I think will be incredibly useful for travelling to away games. http://www.megabus.com/us/ They run buses from Chicago to St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Milwaukee. But the brilliant part is the fares. They start from $1, which is the cost for a one-way trip to those places on a weekday. On a weekend, Milwaukee is still $1, but Cincinnati is $8, and St. Louis can be from $8-$20. But still, I think this deal is simply amazing. Where else can you find such a deal? They also run from Chicago to Cleveland, Columbus, Detriot, Indianapolis, and Minneapolis. Didn't really check the fares to those places. No Cubs games there. :P
