    He's having an awful offensive year and I give him a ton of credit for finding ways to help win games. I still have faith he is gonna win us a game in the playoffs.

    Well after missing almost all of last year, he's probably pretty angry he's getting sent down so Joe can have his Neifi back. He's clearly out performed several guys on this roster.

    calling up coghlan and optioning lastella allows the team to keep both lastella and coghlan, while not calling up coghlan means they'd have to release him after his DL stint (a healthy vet can't be stashed for very long) I have to believe it is short-term. I see that, but La Stella being a lot better helps us win more games now. Just DFA Coghlan. He's scrap heap material.

    How does Coghlan help us more than La Stella? This move doesn't make any sense to me, someone smarter than me please tell me why this is ok.

    I assume early on we won't get much out of Lucas, but like most freshman under Groce, he will start to get serious minutes the second half of the BIG season.

    Don't forget Thorne, assuming he has anything left in the tank. That's a decent backup. I think Finke's biggest contribution will be getting his younger brother on campus, I hope. I could be wrong though.

    Who are you basing that on? I just don't see what he could be basing it off of, this is the first group of kids that he has had and they are just now seniors. All three, including Nunn, improved a lot in their time at Champaign.

    I think he develops ok, Malcolm Hill is miles beyond what he was, for example. I think the X and Os lead a lot to be desired though.

    Illini now have the #2 class in the country. Look out! Holy [expletive] that is amazing news. Look for Goodwin to follow suit. This is as big as the Marcus Griffin/Serge McClain commitment, could be a program changer. I was pretty excited about the 2010 class, but yeah, this would be huge. I just want to be decent again.

    Duncan was drafted after the lockout, Jordan never was a Bull against him. He played in 97-98, Jordan's last year as a Bull Jesus, I am old. I thought for sure he missed him by a year. It was Olawakandi that was the franchise center after the lockout I guess, lol.

    Diaz actually is helping one of my friends out who is doing the umpire school thing, supposedly he's an amazing guy. But yeah, he sucks.
