  1. About what I was thinking. This all sounds so very familiar... I honestly wasn't around much during da bum's heyday so I'm no bum expert. All I can say is I'm posting facts to support my arguments. Thinking Keady is a coach that Purdue should be embarassed of somehow is just weird. He had success over an extended period of time in one of the toughest conferences in basketball. Never at any point did I say you should be embarrassed by him. I do think he was on the bubble a lot. Hence I said what I said about us being on the bubble recently.
  2. He finished in the Top 3 of the Big Ten 13 times during those 17 appearances. Also, he had an appearance at Western Kentucky so he has 18 as a coach. How many coaches have more appearances? Those records I highlighted are bubble records. Are you saying they aren't?
  3. Keady made the NCAA tournament 17 times. Painter has made the tournament 6 out of 7 years. Michigan has made the tournament 19 times, ever. Wisconsin 18. If you want to run the man down for not making Final Fours, that I can see. You can make the tournament while on the bubble. Keady did often. That's one of the perks of coaching at a big ten school.
  4. Take out glen Robinson and look at the Keady years. Then see if you see what I meant. 1989 15-16 1990 22-8 1991 17-12 1992 18-15 1993 18-10 1997 18-12 1998 28-8 1999 21-13 2000 24-10 2001 17-15 2002 13-18 2003 19-11 2004 17-14 2005 7-21 Those are all bubble or worse years. The Glen Robinson years were obviously awesome though.
  5. It's tough to watch your team go from a national title contender to a perennial bubble squad at best. You'll get over it. I also read we're a real contender for Lyle, so the inevitable question is who are plan B and C at this point, because that's who we'll end up with. We're a perennial bubble team? Since when? I thought he was talking about Illinois? Well we had a purdue guy running things. Makes sense we would become a bubble program.

I also read we're a real contender for Lyle, so the inevitable question is who are plan B and C at this point, because that's who we'll end up with. Maybe, if it comes down to us and Louisville I really think we might get him. Louisville has three other point guards that will be there when he gets to campus. Wherever he goes, I hope his coach can fill the father-figure role he has been missing (he lives with his grandmother). Good kid, but needs to grow up (even more than most teenagers). Missed a big rivalry the other game and is currently suspended (though perhaps/evidently only for missing the team bus) (http://www.courierpress.com/news/2013/feb/12/harrison-routs-bosse-clinches-tie-siac-title-clinc/). I keep hearing he got into a fight at school. But yeah, he needs a coach to help him grow up.

  8. Kenneth Faried =D>
  9. I was afraid he got aids from his cheerleader girlfriend.
  10. "That's Meyers Leonard weak." D.J. Byrd
  11. The people on the Illinois scout board are great. Predicting a collapse like last year, saying Groce is in over his head. That's 6 out of 7 with two winnable games coming up.
  12. We need to start the second half strong and put these guys away.
  13. Foul on Myke Henry, standing too close to that purdue guy
  14. One of these games we will be the team in the bonus right away. Although it was awesome watching the gophers not be able to put us on the line at the end of last game.
  15. Reinsdorf tried to do the same thing with Jordan.
  16. We are the number 25 team according to RPI right now. Iowa is the number 92. Iowa better win at Indiana, that's it's best chance at a marquee win left.
  17. Iowa can't get in over them if it's close, look at who weve beaten, they can't compare with that, at all. That was more to raw than you though.
  18. 1. This isn't the Tribune Cubs anymore. 2. Most Cubs fans probably hate him because they're [expletive] morons. I don't live around many cubs fans anymore. You guys are my exposure and my cousin. We all love prior. Do the masses really hate him?
  19. i'm definitely starting to believe that they're not that bad They just need to get into the tournament. They could lose to the worst team in the field, but they also have the ability to beat any team in college basketball on any given night. If they can just get in, I would not be shocked at all if they win a few games and make a nice run. groce usually has his teams ready to play by the postseason. Yep, I love love love this hire.
  20. They should have lost the Iowa St. game as well. Point guards are important.
  21. Hehe Bruce Weber might win the Big 12. Amazing.
  22. How far down the big ten standings could you go before you could say, "no, this team wouldn't win the big 12."?
  23. Who is 23? He killed you guys on that half court play and also on letting Berg have such an easy look for a 3 at the end of OT. Berg is not going to kill you penetrating and if he does it would only be 2 points. Levert is actually put in those situations for defense and has had some success there this year but I agree he didn't really do the job today at all. He's a freshman playing critical minutes on the road. Love this Michigan team but we are getting a lot of critical mistakes down the stretch. McGary missed a fast break layup in OT, Stauskas had a critical turnover that led to the game winning 3, and I'm not sure Glenn Robinson III actually played in this game. Ill have to watch the game again. Robinson and Stauskas also had bad turnovers down the stretch in the OSU game that almost blew that game too. It's hard to get angry though because they are freshman and will get better and despite the mistakes we beat OSU and did everything but win this one. By missed a fast break layup, I assume you mean got mugged for a no call? Sure wanted to see a replay on that, but none came and the hack Hoosier announcing said great no call.
  24. True, still doubt Miggy is a PED guy.
  25. I just think the guy to replace is Evans, but Bo seems to like his defense.
