  1. Last night they called us fair weather fans.
  2. That's what they always announce before the games. In NY Jeter even asks fans not to on the scoreboard before they announce it.
  3. You really don't know? no, i know. What i really don't get is why baseball doesn't do something about it.
  4. Wonder what Joe would have called there if that was a dunn or griffey hit?
  5. Cause it is Joe West and We are the Cubs
  6. once again a fan has an impact on one of our games.
  7. Derrek told me that he always wears protection. That isnt what Jada says. I know what you mean, but wow. That could be taken very very badly. Yeah, I meant because she was his daughter. Thus at some point he had to have not used protection.

  9. Dunn makes routine catches an adventure.
  10. I hope you are right, but he seems to have issues with the Reds.
  11. Pie, Jones, and Veal for a guy who hasn't won a game in months and has a +5 ERA? Horrible. It would be a typical Cubs move, though; trade a player before his peak and make up for it by reacquiring him after he starts to fall. veal is losing his perceived value, though. we shouldn't assume that he'll ever reach his peak if he can't get over his control issues. He meant Willis. yeah, i should have been paying attention, my bad. I agree with you on the Don though. Move him while he has some value.

  13. But aren't they way outperforming their pythag Yes, they were 5 games better than expected prior to the nightcap. So even when they have a year from hell, they get lucky.
  14. I wanna believe you, but they won a world series with Weaver and Reyes. and a legitimate ace and a red hot jeff suppan. they don't have one pitcher this year that matches Carpenter or second-half Suppan from last year. I know you are right, but they still scare the hell out of me. They pick up Jacque Jones he hits 40 homers for em. Their franchise is our polar opposite. To be fair their luck has not held this season. They are getting worse than expected performances from everyone, Carpenter may be done as an ace for good, and even Albert got off to a slow start. They aren't going anywhere this year. But aren't they way outperforming their pythag

  18. Oh don't say that 4 now :) Thats much better.
  19. Oh don't say that
  20. As long as they stay 5+ back they can sweep out this series. I wouldn't worry about the cardinals until they get to .500. They're pitching is too sketchy for them to go on a real run. Still, they have the magic pixy dust, so anything is possible. Skip Shoumaker is hitting over .310 for them.
