  1. Wait, you don't?
  2. I'm sure that's what George wanted to do, but it wasn't his turn. :D From the rumors I have heard he was more interested in watching Ryno play.
  3. They're going to regret that one. The Cubs for not picking him or the D-backs for putting him at Low A? Not taking Parker. At the time, it seemed very hard to argue with the Vitters selection. the cubs are terrible at developing hitters, especially hitters who aren't polished. that made it very easy for a lot of people to find fault with the vitters selection. personally, i was on the wieters bandwagon and still think that he should've been the pick. There are three guys I wanted. Porcello, Weiters, and Parker. I would have been thrilled with any of the three.
  4. I agree it is too soon to label vitters a bust, but we should have picked a pitcher. We have proven that we can develop great young pitchers. Hitters, not so much.
  5. Take that stupid crap somewhere else! Go. Reds. Let me go to Redszone.com and post Go Cubs and see how people react. I'll join you. Come on don't get all 5 of their fans riled up.
  6. Bruntlett might as well be the one to finish this off.
  7. you've got to be kidding me. Nope, he should get an extra base hit everytime.
  8. Has anyone else seen enough of Reed Johnson?
  9. Mike Hampton? Todd Hundley had a pretty big contract didn't he? You could count on Hundley. Just to be terrible.
  10. Has there ever been a guy paid as much as Soriano, who you could count on any less?
  11. 49-4 (37-3 in hoops, 12-1 in football.) Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk. i don't hate ku football so much as i hate ku basketball. i was happy ku was playing in a bcs game, so long as mizzou was in the cotton bowl. but i'm sure my illini will be back, outlasting self's jayhawks in the tourney in the next few years to come. Basketball-wise, the future looks good for both programs. But if we pick up X Henry and Daniel Orton, we might just win it again in 2009. I wonder if you have that good a football year again now that you have to play OU and Texa$? We'll still be good. I expect 8-4, maybe better. What you didn't schedule anyone in the preconference schedule again? I also thought that you lost your best player to the draft. We play at South Florida in the non-con and then 3 gimmes. The vast majority of our two-deep returns. Sure, we lost Talib and Collins, but we have experience and talent ready to step in. People underrate our team from last year. We lost one game at a neutral site to a top five team by 8 points. We'll lose a few more this year--OU & Mizzou, maybe Texas and T-Tech--but our toughest games are at home. I wouldn't expect a terrible season, You'll be disappointed. I don't think you will be terrible at all, but I bet you lose about 4 games.
  12. an F-Bomb here would be nice. I am sure we will all be dropping one after his ab ends.
  13. Or, instead of playing those games on the field, have both teams send a representative to home plate, and just them play a 3 game series on MLB; The Show. Under that scenerio, THEY MIGHT win.... I doubt it. I would bet that Rollins would be better than anyone we have at that too.
  14. Man next year we should just not make the trip to Philly and forfeit the games.
  15. So we can bring him in the 6th now. Awesome work Lou. Awesome.
  16. Jason Werth on base all four times. What a joke. Nice job Wuertz.
  17. One of my good friends played running back at KState when Mangino was the backs coach. He says he is the biggest piece of trash you will ever meet.
  18. Yeah, besides Zambrano, that was my big concern this year. Dempster has been a pleasant surprise, but the other three starters have been terrible in terms of being both good and efficient. Hill and Lilly will be fine. The other two I am not so sure about. I think Hill will be fine. I'm not so sure about Lilly. He has been average at the least while pitching in the AL East, I think he will be ok for us. Has Theriot really been safe at all stealing this year?
