I think you are right. I also think KU is going to get the OAK/Jones package. Really? This sort of implies that you are both 80% or so on Cliff to UI. I wish I could be on board with that but I just can't be. I'm thinking 50/50 at best, but not holding my breath. Just trying to read the tea leaves. I probably am wrong. I have a bad feeling that Self is trying to shoot the moon and land Jones/Okafor, and that it has turned off Cliff. I don't think we'll get the package deal. And I kind of like Cliff better than Okafor. But maybe I'd just talked myself into thinking that because I thought we had no shot at Jones and Ikafor. I mean it's self. That guy might land all three. I think oak will be better in college. Cliff the better pro.

no kidding, they were really reaching for something interesting about that title win. if the giants clinch the world series at home sometime, they'll only mention in passing about how it's the 1st time since 1922 they won at home (and 1st time ever in san fran!!!!!!!!!!!!) how about this...the Cubs have never clinched a world series in Chicago. Even during their 1907-1908 dynasty, they won it in Detroit and Boston. Didn't we beat the Tigers both times?

Uhhhhhhhhhh... I don't remember being that worked up at all with bulls games when they were winning their titles. Maybe it's just so long ago I forget. After the first title I mean.

Better be willing to include Baez of Bryant then. They are really high on Mondesi. They might be but Baez and Bryant are both better prospects than Mondesi. Absolutely, but they'd have to get blown away to deal him. They were even higher on Wil Myers. I'm not so sure they were. I think they kept him at AAA in 2012 because they were afraid he might get exposed. Maybe not though. -

i'd never full on hate the cubs, but i could definitely see a scenario where i barely follow them for a few years, then pop back right in (in 2019) when they start to be good again oh wait that's happening now You barely follow them yet you post on a Cubs message board? Got it. He could be following this stuff but not watching games. Like many of us have been recently.

heard from someone who is fairly well connected that cliff is pretty much a lock for kansas, but the illinois loyalty insider types still seem confident, so who knows. I thought he was a KU lock, but it sounds like his mom doesn't want him that far from home, the insiders lately are saying now it's even. I still think self and KU wins out.

I think there's going to be some serious growing pains/adjustments/frustration early in the year, but there's a chance to be pretty good later on. That's what I'm thinking as well. So far Egwu has looked great, hopefully he improved again. But besides him, I'm not sure where scoring will come from early. Hopefully rice. Rice can score. Abrams can, Hill and Nunn can. I think we'll be better I know the last two will, just think it might take half a season until they really start to with consistency.

Lyle is a stud that no one seemingly wants. Is it grades/qualifying issues or behavior?

While I love what John Groce has done with recruiting so far, this weekend is the biggest for Illinois since Eric Gordon was on campus. That one didn't turn out so well. Hopefully he can make this a tough decision for Cliff. If he could win this recruitment I really think we are set up well to clean house on the '15 class. Fingers crossed.

I don't, I think they're going to be pretty solid. Not sure if they'll beat Miami or Chicago, but they're going to win a bunch of games.
