I'd rather not burn an option with him, though, especially considering the Cubs have had him on a strict pitch count pretty much every start. There are options at AAA who could fill in if need be. They're not good options, but they're options nonetheless. That's a good point.

Pass I would rather let Cashner have a shot. I thought Cashner was a late inning bullpen arm? Doing a great job of starting in AA, but he's nowhere near ready. I know, but neither are John or Vincente.
