  1. This inning we get to see two of the key offseason moves. Heilman and Miles. I hope Jim hendry gets hit by the EL.
  2. Come on. He just got off the DL. We use anybody besides the gas can to relieve him and he doesn't give up 8 runs.
  3. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/events/page.jsp?ymd=20080715&content_id=432783&vkey=events_l118&fext=.jsp&sid=l118 it's very confusing, but from what i can understand the chiefs would have "home field advantage" in their first series (which is best of 3) and they have the option of either playing game 1 at home, or game 1 on the road and then games 2/3 at home. Thanks, I was curious how it worked. Think I may try going to a playoff game if they make it. I went to the Texas league championship in Wichita few years back. Was suprised that no one really came out for it.
  4. true, but if lou was the big let's get lefthanded guy and Jim followed that, you would think he would have followed him further.
  5. Nice. Maybe Marmol can find it again. Give us something for next year.
  6. There is nothing worse than promoting teamwork. Nothing.
  7. Of course we had our best game as an offense against Billingsley.
  8. Yeah, I would say Carpenter has that one locked up. Or Ryan Franklin. Maybe Trever Miller. (It is obviously Carp, but those two are posting ludicrous lines as well, not that it's really surprising to anybody.) Thos two pitched last year though. Carpenter has been amazing after really missing two years. It would be like Mark Prior becoming '03 Mark Prior again next year. I would go ahead and not mention that possibility until we're entirely sure that the Cardinals are NOT going to pick him up. Eh, I like Mark. If they have to have somebody go crazy, I almost wouldn't mind it being him.

  10. Yeah, I would say Carpenter has that one locked up.
  11. Thats not what he said. He said he didnt understand why he couldnt post Smoltzs' game stats when the originator created the thread "to observe Smoltz hurl a gem because we are out of it." Cause clearly, that's all he was trying to do. Enjoy this year. Stay classy.
  12. No you know it as well as I do, their fan base is arrogant little pricks, and feel the need to gloat constantly when their team is doing good. However the last 2 years the influx of Cards posters here was few and far between, but now they are in 1st, and they are coming here daily. Its comical But wait, aren't they the best posters in baseball? My brother hits me up yesterday with, "Still think both teams are gonna make the playoffs?" Classy set of fans.
  13. I guess I just don't get the gloating. Do they think we are not aware of how their team is doing?
  14. agreed hindsight is all sorts of awesome. Ignore the the fact Ibanez was a passable at best corner outfielder in seattle with the bat and defensively his arm would not be terrible in RF who was also on the wrongside of 35. It wasn't hindsight for Lou. Lou stated right away he wanted Raul.
  15. Now the Cardinal fans are telling us what threads we can or should start on our board. This has been a great year.
  16. If that is a reference to me, wise guy, then you are half right. I'm a fan of BOTH. Not that it's any of your business. So you're not an actual fan k I guess I'm not. Not in your frame of reference. I don't live and die with either team. My sympathy's right now are with the Cubs. It's hard to watch sometimes (like this series) Don't get on my case because you can't understand my way of thinking. I never got on you for yours. Joke account. The avatar says it all. You can't be serious. My sympathy's with the cubs. Why cause the past two years we've waxed your butts. And once Dero and Holliday walk we will do the same again next year?
  17. If that is a reference to me, wise guy, then you are half right. I'm a fan of BOTH. Not that it's any of your business. So you're not an actual fan k No, it's ok. I'm sure it's like the Yankee/Red Sox fans. Oh wait.
  18. Nothing better than Cardinal fans on our thread pretending to cheer for us.
