I can't see any of the big three going pro this year. Purdue will start off in the top five. I could see Johnson going pro, depending on what kidn of feedback he gets at the camps. They don't get to go to the camps now before deciding to go back. It sucks, big time. When did that change? Is there any sort of work-out that takes place now before the deadline, or is it basically figure out where you might go sight unseen and make a call? This year, they talked about it on our scout board today in reguards to McCamey. It allows the college coaches to know what they have for sure for the next year now. I hate it. http://www.ajc.com/sports/new-ncaa-deadline-to-183639.html Apparently they can work out with teams earlier now, but it would coincide with the players finals week in many cases.

Lol. Did Lewis Jackson average his 20 a game? Was I totally wrong saying we would have a first team all big ten performer? Is Purdue the best mens basketball program of all time? Look, I'm sorry Illinois choked too much to make the tournament but you shouldn't make fun of fans of teams you are jealous off. What's there to be jealous of at Purdue. Painter is living off of the 07 class, and I've yet to see a kid who can play at that sort of level come in behind them. The lone exception being Teon Johnson. Great job reaching on Jay Simpson. Enjoy your three year run of relevance in the Big Ten. I love they are excited for Anthony Johnson, who they only got because we filled our schollies with better players first. But, really they looked damn good without Hummel this weekend. I see no reason to be worried about the team going forward.

I got to experience the thrill of going to a National Title Game while almost going undefeated along the way. I got to see our program produce a top pro in my lifetime. I was proud of you though for being able to finish above us this year. That happens more times than not. In the past decade? I think not.

Brey has had a solid if not spectacular long run at ND. Amaker had early success at Seton Hall and didn't walk into a great situation at Michigan. Dawkins hasn't been at Stanford long enough to tell. I'm pretty sure Collins isn't as slimy as Quinn was. I don't know that he would be great but I'm sure he's done a lot of the leg work at Duke with K's international work. He's from Chicago and I think he could be a good recruiter here. Has a clean image while also being a fairly big name. Amaker is awful, even his super talented teams at Seton Hall never really did anything. Brey has done a decent job, but I imagine if you asked Andy he would tell you he isn't that great of a coach. Dawkins I think will be the best of the group, but he's going to Duke whenever K croaks. I think that Collins would be a really bad hire. You need someone with some kind of real head coaching experience. If not, you'd be better off trying to get Jerrance Howard from us. He has at least proven he can recruit Chicago.

That's what I'm saying. It would never fly at Iowa though. The DUI's are one thing but all of the crazy ish he did at Kentucky probably cements it. Yeah, he's a guy I wish we could have, but apparently he might have to go to jail if he comes back to our state. Too bad, great basketball mind.

Wasn't even aware of that, just heard that he's supposed to be one of the top assistants in place to move up to a head job and is said to be a good recruiter though that can be debated when at KU under Self. The good news is, unless something unexpected happens Iowa should be the 2nd best opening behind Oregon and their money. Seriously the hire you could make that scares the hell out of me is Billy G. That's the one guy from the Self tree I would actually want. Although in a great college town like Iowa City he could do some damage. K's guys don't scare me at all. None of them have done anything all that good since they left the Duke nest.

I heard it when the IU job was open and that fat greasy pig was interested(or at least interested in using it for a raise) I'm sure he'll change his mind when dealing with a powerhouse program like Iowa. Heard it from only the best sources I'm sure. That whole train of thought went out the window when he allowed a coach who just got his old school heavy sanctions to be hired at IU. The flaw in this logic though is Indiana is Indiana and they had Miles Brand to protect them.

Bite your tongue. Why it is the absolute truth. The guy is a grade A clown. Absolute truth based on all of the sanctions and probation he's earned, right? He got his sanctions. Why do you think he was stuck at d3 for so long?

I think a lot of people feel UK will crap the bed once they play a good team. Their schedule did not prepare them very well. Of course, I said the same thing about Memphis in 2008 (though their noncon was tougher than UK's.) I think this UK team is way less disciplined than that Memphis team. Everyone remembers Rose, but that team had some veteran players out there. UK's play can devolve into a mess for long stretches of time from what I've seen. If I'm taking on UK I send some goon at Cousins and get him to lose his [expletive]. Agreed. Plus I don't see where Wall is comparable to Rose. I'm sorry, but I don't think he is in Rose's league.

West Virginia is pretty good, I could see people picking them over you. Your lack of shooting really scares people aways.

Georgetown/Ohio State could have easily been a Final Four matchup for me if the brackets had been arranged differently. Instead they're slated to meet in round 3. And KU/Ohio State could have been a championship game matchup. As it is I think the winner of that wins it all. I'd love to see OSU win it. Two Illinois boys Turner and Matta doing well.

They should have tossed Cornell in there as well, since imo, as they should have beaten you were it not for some awful calls down the stretch.

That's not too shocking, they have easily the easiest bracket to get through.
