  1. I don't think he stays in, but it still scares the hell out of me Jereme Richmond might be playing some point guard next year.
  2. DMac enters the draft.
  3. Dempster making sure the bullpen has a chance to blow this.
  4. Please quit walking guys in front of Braun and Fielder.
  5. Lol, the same fans who go crazy on routine flyballs? Cause they had no idea how much room he had.
  6. And after stirke 3 Escobar gets a hit. Nice work blue.
  7. Come on Demp. There we go. Let's add on.
  8. So you don't think they've been patient this year? In spots, I haven't seen them a ton so far this year. But, you gotta make Doug Davis throw a ton of pitches. He would walk you or me.
  9. Way to make him work this inning guys. ](*,) 2008 was an abberation.
  10. He very well could be. I don't really put a lot of stock in those aside from the guys with 5 or 1. I think his stock has fallen quite a bit because of the way he ended his senior season. Getting kicked off the team probably isn't the best way to finish your HS career. True, there are better ways to wrap up your high school career.
  11. If they did win the Lottery, who do you take? Turner or Wall?
  12. I think there's a chance Brust may re-commit. As do I. I also think Larson will try getting back on board if he doesn't get another D1 offer. Isn't Larson a 4 star? Have to believe that he will get some looks. He's a 3-star with some character issues. I would tend to think he'd get some looks, but I've heard he isn't all that keen on going too far from SD. I believe Minnesota has shown some interest, but ultimately I think he'll end up at one of the little SD schools. Hmm on the scout board they have a thread saying he's a 4 star. Oh well, I would imagine he could still end up at Iowa.
  13. I told everybody he had to at least enter the draft. Moore should as well. Might as well get your name out there.

  15. Not necessarily. There's little reason for him to refuse to be traded if the team stinks and he knows he's going to opt out. He's likely to opt out anyway, but it would be a lock if they sat him down and said they weren't going to re-sign him no matter what since he's not going to wait around and get a year older on a crappy team. Unless he's feeling vindictive there's little reason for him to refuse a trade for the last few months of the season, especially since he'd likely go to a team that's actually contending. But, this is his last chance for good money. Wrigley still is a pretty good place to hit and his family is here for now. If we trade him off to San Fran or somewhere with a pitcher park it would hurt his numbers and potentially cost him money. I guess you can avoid this though by helping find a team you both can agree on. Again though, I don't want Hendry being the guy selecting the players we get back.
  16. I agree with this, but I'm very afraid that we will be close enough that Jim will try and make a trade to save his job. I really don't want him trading away any prospects. Yeah, I'm concerned that they're just going to middle around technically being in contention because of how bad the division is. If they do fall out of it it needs to be big so that both Hendry gets the boot and they wise up and look to move Lee/Aramis/Lilly/etc.. We gave out no trade clauses. We might not be able to move any of them. It's comical. Nah, they probably could if they just went to them and said that they're simply not going to re-sign them. I don't know Lee maybe, but Aramis can opt out if he wants, he'd pry rather finish out the year with us before he opts out.
  17. Maybe not, this could fall apart pretty quickly.

  20. Look around baseball. In no way am I fan of Hendry keeping his job, but look at how many GM's simply are not very good at their jobs. This is true, but a lot of them, dont come close to the payroll that Hendry has had to work with. Also, the fact that Hendry caters way too much to Lous every whim. I know I dont need to bring up the dismanteling of the 2008 team because of 3 bad games. Even if it is true, you can't keep a guy around just because the next guy could be worse.
  21. I have never given a reason to justify Hendry keeping his job or have supported the idea of him keeping his job. The closest I've come to that is stating that I understand why the new owners wouldn't necessarily clean house right away with the way the timeline of the sale played out. Even then I think he should have been canned. He doesn't understand how to build a baseball team. I would rather 5 or 6 posters on here run the team than him.
  22. But, OMG the next gm could be worse.!!!!!!!!!!one!!!!!!!!!!!111 Nobody's said that no matter how many times you pretend that someone has. Yes, in fact, many people have said that the next GM could be worse. You included. But never as a reason to retain Hendry as you continually imply. So what was your reason to keep Jim? Because he's proven time and time again he's awful at his job.
