  1. 2011 draft predictions? It's all in fun, I do think it's gonna be a long year.
  2. I got the Royals. :banghead: Haven't even been to the K yet cause my buddy got married opening weekend. My fallback team is the Twins. I'll have to train myself to get excited about them. That shouldn't be hard, they have a pretty good team in a crap division.

  4. So who are the really big time prospects we could pick if we just completely fall apart this year?
  5. Besides Marmol and Marshall are any of our pen guys even deserving of being big leaguers.
  6. I was fine with it when he was an .850 ops guy. I sure hope he can become that guy again.
  7. I'm aware we wouldn't have got anything good for him, but at the least we could have sent him to the American League. Where he couldn't beat us. I guess. It's really inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Probably, but on a day where he's likely gotten the game winning hit against us, I feel like venting.

  9. Nobody identified what they had. There's plenty to slam Hendry over, but expecting to somehow magically know that McGehee would have any type of sustained success in the majors based on what he had shown up until he was claimed is absurd. I don't want to look it up, but didn't we have two spots open on the 40 man when we let him go? Couldn't we have at least tried to get something for him? Why bother? He was a zilch at the time. Because he was still our property and there was no reason to allow him to go to another team within the division for nothing. I know in the grand picture it doesn't matter a ton, but it's annoying as crap to watch him do pretty well for them knowing they didn't even give us anything for him.
  10. I think I read somewhere that he is dirt poor? Can anyone confirm this. I've read it as well, but can't for the life of me remember where.
  11. Casey McGehee sucks No Aaron Miles sucks, but we had room for him on our team last year.

  13. Everytime McGehee does something good I thank god Jim Hendry is our GM. Way to identify what you have Jimbo.
  14. Walked Dave Bush. The cubs deserve all the crap they get.
  15. You cannot walk the pitcher. Jesus.
  16. And Jay Williams is ruining my life by being on ESPN. Did you see him on sportsnation yesterday with the top three high school players? It was ridculous. I really hope he gets another shot in the NBA to get him off of my TV.
  17. Hope he brings Parker with him. If we get both of those two I'll change my name to Bruce Weber's a pimp.
  18. I don't think there is any way that Carpenter makes it through this whole year as healthy and good as he was last year.
  19. If only we had some cowardly mods who would delete anything bad said about any of our players or coaches, where could we find a mod like that? Oh wait... Please don't clutter this thread with IB drama. Sorry. It was a good win, I would pulled Dempster an inning sooner though.

  21. That seems like a stretch. How so? They'll have possibly five seniors -- English, Denmon, Bowers, Moore and Ratliffe, a seasoned point guard and getting contributions from Pressey and Mitchell. They'll have guys who can score anywhere on the floor and have a defensive presence on the inside. Has Mitchell qualified yet? I keep hearing down here he hasn't.
  22. Pretty much every report has DMac as going in the 2nd round. It would be a bad decision for him to leave. i've seen him in the top 10, but i hope he's back, obviously. i think illinois is a title contender next year if he comes back, at least by missouri standards, I saw him 8 on one site, but that site wasn't very credible. I don't think he stays in, but if he does he's late first early second tops.
  23. Chuck spoke directly with an official from the school and heard that he has a meeting set with Bruce on Wednesday, but there's no final decision or press conference set at this time. http://www.312sports.com/blog-entries/171-basketball/1282-demetri-mccamey-status Now, it's most likely that he is going to declare anyway, but apparently the report has been a bit exaggerated at this point. However, DMac has nothing to lose by declaring and attending a few workouts. I imagine that meeting will consist of Bruce begging Demetri to stay.
  24. I don't think he stays in, but it still scares the hell out of me Jereme Richmond might be playing some point guard next year. I was shocked to hear Weber mention him as a possibility in that Klee Q&A Me too, but it sounds like he's thinking about it at least.
