  1. Lol, now I am reading we might miss on both guys and Abrams tore his ACL and is done for the year. Man Illinois basketball has been a huge nut punch for a decade. I really hope we don't whiff on both of these guys.
  2. So in 2011 when we sucked, hard, we set the three game attendance record at the K. So of course every NL Central team is back here but us now. :banghead:
  3. Lot of twitter Buzz that it is going to be a good day for us. Fingers crossed.
  4. Loving that DJ Williams is now ranked higher than Charles Matthews on most sites. Any chance Matthews ends up at UK?
  5. Groce really has to land this kid. I don't think Brunson is happening.
  6. Griffin or Ryan?
  7. Lol, how many guys on your list had an ops near 1.100 at AAA? Definitely not the three cubs' prospects. Maybe, McPherson did. Maybe. Ryan Harvey? Jesus man, Ryan Harvey sucked at Peoria.
  8. Miller got the outside corner plus five inches to Soler. Now he gets the inside plus five to Welly. Love baseball in St. Louis.
  9. I don't know that we would want that, I have a bad feeling he would not be what we would like in an analyst. Maybe not though.
  10. Isn't Glanville the perfect guy to bring back? Former Cub, Ivy leaguer, and already in baseball talking business?
  11. If Jake is our three we are in for a fun year.
  12. He's totally gonna Cliff Alexander hat fake the Cubs Only if he has his coked up dad there.
  13. I don't care which way they go, but I just want one way all across baseball.
  14. Who moves in with a chick at 18-19? Lady now proceeds to show me pictures of her daughter. Definitely smoking. Almora lines out to rf on 2-2 pitch. addy walks on 4 pitches. Make your move. On the mom.
  15. They get moved to the East?
  16. Butler had years of 25 and 30 homers in the minors and never had an ops less than .880 Lot of work to do to get to that. He had 25 HR in the California League(the opposite run environment as the FSL) as part of a 30 HR season. Outside of that he didn't exceed 15 HR in a season. Playing in the California, Texas, and Pacific Coast Leagues on your way up is also quite a bit different than the Midwest, Florida State, and Southern Leagues too. Vogelbach still isn't quite the same caliber, Butler was a Top 25 prospect by the time he was MLB ready, but it's closer than a superficial look would appear. My bad, I misread his stats. I guess that isn't as huge a gap as I thought. Although if memory serves, wasn't he drafted as a 3B meaning he was quite a bit more athletic than Vogelbach? I remember him "playing" left field at a few games I went to in Wichita.

  18. No. He'll never get the same kind of credit Jordan does, deservedly or not. Jordan gets credit for "making" Pippen. Nobody heard of Scottie until he became great alongside Jordan. If LeBron wins 6, it will be alongside some bonafide stars. Wade, Bosh, Love, Irving are all top 5 picks that he will have joined after all were very good-to-elite players. Plus, I feel Jordan has more of a story. LeBron was always the best. As a kid, in HS, as a rookie. Jordan was cut from his HS team, made a big shot as a freshman when he was the 3rd or 4th fiddle on his own team. He was not the #1 pick (wasn't even the #1 prospect, Olajuwon was) and joined the NBA at the highest level of talent it has ever been at. Scottie Pippen was also a top 5 pick. I agree with everything else that you said though. Scottie really gets screwed over. Hue Hollins cost him winning a title on his own. Then he would probably get the respect he really deserves.
  19. Stupid off day.
  20. Agreed, although whatshisname from Louisville was awful. On a side note, it looks like whatshisname from Louisville has made the Pelicans as an undrafted FA. Are you sure, I thought he was playing for Georia State?
  21. Probably out for the season. Yikes I doubt he's ever the same player again.
  22. Lol, Trout may have been on 2nd if he hit the same ball. I haven't seen much of Trout this year, but a couple of things come to mind about his speed: he has only attempted 10 steals this year, his baserunning score on FG is 1.7 (12.0, 8.1 last two years), and his defense on FG is -4.0. Has he bulked up to the point where he has lost a significant amount of speed? He's obviously still a fast dude, but I wonder if he has hurt his overall value too much. He has increased his power while hurting every other facet of his game, it seems. He still hasn't been caught at all, I think it is more because of where he is hitting in the order.
  23. Good point! How does someone that smart mess up looses?
  24. Wow, Russell above all those guys? Where would you go if you include Rizzo and Bryant?
  25. He's at worst their third 3rd best pitcher, soooo yeah Man, Shark as a teams third best pitcher. Beane has put together a hell of a staff.
