    On 810 radio station they are making it sound like this KU investigation could get pretty ugly. UK isn't the only one. that's wishful thinking on your part. The scandal is about employees ripping off the athletic department and, potentially, donors. there's a chance it could affect the staffing within the AD (namely Perkins). but there's no link to the teams/athletes, and it's not an NCAA violations issue. I don't know why you keep trying to portray it is if it were. Well the big thing is gonna be where the money went. If it stayed away from your programs then you are fine. If it went back in to the atheltic programs then there is gonna be problems.     They made that choice like 50 years ago. I don't blame Eddie Sutton for the money in the envelope, he just sent the envelope. How was he supposed to know there was a crap ton of money in it going to a recruit?

    This is awesome. Yeah, I am sure that there is no way that Cal knew what was going on with Marcus Camby. How the hell else was he able to land a top 10 kid at UMass? As for Rose, a lot of us knew by his junior year that he might not qualify. That's why many, not me, but many Illinois fans didn't think he was worth the risk. Remember he also had Reggie with his hand out as well. Face it, Cal is dirty as all hell.

    that would be so awesome. maybe getting out of KC and working with a good hitting coach could help Gordon adjust to the majors. Wed probably have to give up something good for Gordon, but he may very well be worth it. The goop thing about Gordon is that even if Ramirez starts playing, and we end up keeping him next year, he could also play 1B in 2011, and then after the 2011 season we could send him back to third and go after Adrian or Fielder. Unrealistic trade proposal: Cubs get: Alex Gordon Zack Greinke Royals get Josh Vitters Brett Jackson Jay Jackson Casey Coleman Randy Wells We would not have to give up anything good for Gordon. They just made a roster move and brought up Wilson Bettemit to play inflied. Gordon has an OPS of over 1.200 and they left him down.

    I really wish we would just call and ask what it would take to get Alex Gordon. I'm betting Theriot would do it knowing Dayton Moore.

    That 9th inning was all kinds of fail. Soriano fought off a walk. Lou pinch hit for Soto, an obp machine. Castro gets on, but can't steal because Theriot swings at everything. Theriot hitting instead of Colvin in that spot. We deserve to lose.

    I think we can win it regardless. I just don't think we are as bad as everyone thinks we are. Too many guys have been playing pretty well so far. We gotta get either Ramirez or Lee going. But, I do think that at some point the Reds are coming back to earth and that some of the cardinals pitchers will realize that they aren't all Sandy Koufax.

    I really think Lou is trying to get fired. He's tried the Z to the pen move, that didn't work. Now we are gonna give this a whirl. Have our old, slow team try and run like the 80's Cardinals.

    Me too, nothing good ever happens with your piece of crap rookies coming up. See Hart, Bo or Rod, J. I've always wondered whatever happened to John Rodriguez. He was good for that team for two straight seasons and no one else ever played him in the bigs again. Almost like the other teams know not to take Cards' numbers seriously. At one point he was in Tampa's minor leagues and doing awful.

    You cannot expect a 20 year old not to struggle some. I'm not hating on Castro, just wish he'd stay hot. I just wanna see it not impact other facets of his game. That's gonna be a big thing for him to prove himself to Lou.
