  1. If you guys don't win it all I'd have to consider the year a failure, you put together a dream team and you need to win it all.
  2. I don't think the point will work in a traditional sense, but I do think he can handle the ball in the half court quite a bit. That said, I bet that comes next year. This year we have so many upperclassmen that are guards and should be pretty good. Hill dominated at the scrimmage. He's so big with nice handles and a jumper. I heard, haven't got to see it yet. If he's improved as much as it sounds we could really have a nice year.
  3. Way too young to die, this is heartbreaking.
  4. Glad we won, but why the hell did we burn Bailey's redshirt if we aren't going to play him more than a series a game?

  6. Aaron Jordan and Jalen Coleman-Lands. I'm talking class of 2015. Oh boy, you're going to get him going about Ryan Cline. Haha, I didn't even have to bring him up. Cline, Stephens, and Mathias. It's going to be nice to have good shooters again after watching the Johnson brothers over the last few years. I'm not sold he is going to be athletic enough to get his shot off in the big ten. Could be wrong though.
  7. Aaron Jordan and Jalen Coleman-Lands. I'm talking class of 2015. Oh boy, you're going to get him going about Ryan Cline. AJ and JCL are potential pros, though. They can do more than catch and shoot. JCL is especially dangerous as a lead guard with the ball in his hands. We have dude like Cline, but he's 6-10. I can't believe Finke is 6'10" now. Yeah our two future guards are solid players. Very happy with both.

  9. He seems really good and has said the right things, but I am not getting my hopes up. i'm not either but i would take this kid and anyone who says he's not good is a [expletive] idiot Yeah, if he wasn't so close to the Irvin's I would think we get him. But, they don't seem to like us. Although people are saying there is now pressure in the city to stay in state. Who knows.

  11. Lovett would be a nice consolation to missing out on Brunson and Evans. Sounds like he'll wait until spring to decide. I'm not even going to bother getting my hopes up for Bragg. consolation? i'm not so sure. this is him recently at the morgan park open gym. holy [expletive]. yeah, i don't know what to make of him. i feel like there's a decent chance he gets eaten alive once he gets to college, but there's also a chance he's the second coming of frankie williams. i feel like evans and brunson are much safer bets, though. Man, I don't know about the Frankie Williams comparisons. That's some high praise. I hope we get him and he is close to Frankie though.
  12. Well, at least that didn't end up affecting any team's special 2005 season in the long ru...EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE. Seriously, what a load of [expletive] and probably a slap on the wrist penalty. I would be so pissed if I was an Illinois fan. Kind of surprised we haven't seen a Sully meltdown about this yet.... I watched the game. I am still pissed about the screwing we got from the refs. Without Fat worthless POS Sean May getting every [expletive] call we win it all anyways. Could have been 39-0, but we still would have tailspinned after anyways.
  13. The NCAA doesn't punish it's blue bloods. You'll be fine.
  14. apparently Illinois has to win to attract recruits but other schools can just waltz right in and grab them without proving anything. It's the SEC, one of theirs just hired Bruce Pearl. He's raking in recruits. Whole different world down there.
  15. Lol, we just got Jalen Coleman. Who is ranked like a spot lower than Thomas. meh, needed a big, not a similar player to jordan. While I wanted a big, I think the college game is all about guards. Especially ones that are lights out shooters. I think Coleman is huge for Groce. Just need to get him signed. I don't trust Indiana guards.

  17. If he is, I will just lose my [expletive]. You cannot do that. However, it would somehow be a new type of fiendishly cruel recruiting loss, which would be normal for us. Not sure what elicited the original comment but I'm hearing good things on the A&M side. I'm holding my breath until his announcement tomorrow. Odd we lead the entire time, accruing to Elijah, then he decided on a really bad basketball school at the last second. He must be pretty good friends with Gilder I guess.
  18. He was going to chemo and coming home without telling anyone. Unreal.
  19. Wayne McClain died. That really sucks, was far too young.
  20. Not if they sweep their way to the title. Ok, but I really doubt that happens. Especially since I think they are about to get a long layoff while the NL battles it out.
  21. People are still talking about Bartman eleven years after it happened. They haven't had anything near that memorable. This is a cool run, but one that all of America will forget about five seconds after it's over.
  22. He has done well in that aspect. Makes it much easier when you have cyborg relievers in Herrera, Davis, and Holland. It would be cool of Ned would start his best starter though. Danny Duffy is so good and they're not even using him. Step in and steal him please Theo. Yeah, I agree that Duffy should be pitching, but he has struggled with his mechanics lately. The Royals believe he is having trouble throwing strikes from the windup, and I have noticed this too as well, watching on the TV. So Duffy is "simplifying" his motion by going on the stretch instead of the windup. You are allowed to start out of the windup. Darvish has done ok using that method, lol. Man I hope the undervalue him as much as it seems they do.

  24. While I wouldn't say I've jumped on the bandwagon considering I've been following Royals since 2006 and go to well over 20 games a year since moving here, this article makes it look like I've jumped on for people who know me. Full disclosure, I told this guy I was a Cubs fan that really gets into the Royals as well. He decided not to include that part (don't blame him). This article ran in the KC Star as well, but you have to be a subscriber to read it on their website. http://www.lsjournal.com/2014/10/08/121852/kcs-own-royal-baby-born-at-hospital.html I'm the same way. Next year I might have to go to less games though now that my son is the height that they start charging. I used have to fight to get our work leadership outing at the K, now those same people are all huge royals fans. Pretty entertaining.
  25. This is so surreal. The bandwagon is pretty full down here. Although late nite at the phog distracted a lot of my friends tonight.
