You can definitely make the same statement with Rose, especially since Boozer missed the first part of the year and Noah's missed the second half. Agreed, and everyone has Rose as a strong candidate. No one ever mentions Deron. He has to be the most underrated star in the game.

I don't like their bigs at all. I know every sportscastor loves Delvon Roe because he can play defense. But between he, Nix, and Payne, they have zero offense. Puts a lot of pressure on your guards and Green to score. Plus Izzo and Summers seem to be fighting over something and he's not giving the production he should be. Odd yeat for the Spartans. That being said I'm sure Tom will find a way to get them into the Final Four again.

I think Wisconsin gets them at the Kohl. Minnesota could beat them too with all their bigs they could throw at Sullinger: Mbakwe, Iverson, and Sampson. Then again, Sullinger will just get the Sean May treatment and foul them all out. Minny also has no one that can play guard with the exception of Hoffarber. Suprised Ryan doesn't realize that losing Lucious will probably help MSU. Look at his stats this year. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a guard that's worse. Plus it means more minutes for Appling, who is a much better player.

Yeah, they finally declared him ineligible and Mizzou lost their appeal. The Sun Belt will take partial qualifiers, and the Big 12 won't, so he decided to go there where it's an hour from home. An annoying end to the whole ordeal, but honestly I'm just glad that it's over. Hopefully they can land Porter and McLemore to help compensate. Should have went to KU, they would have found a way to get him in. Either the Dareel Arthur or Brandon Rush plan would have worked.

About the playcall: Say we convert on 3rd and 4th down. Say we even manage somehow to score another TD, are we still winning in overtime (Now that just a field goal doesn't suffice)? Well, I'm not going to be one of them, but if I was Chicago, I would take a real long hard look on Cutler, and what to do about him from here on forth. Being a Big XII guy, I immediately thought Beasley when we won the lottery. I was a little disappointed at all the Rose talk at first, but the more I looked into the situation the more I was on board with the decision to go with Derrick. Now it's hard to imagine thinking of taking anyone but him with that pick. The Beas had as much an impact in college and KD and Blake. But, man he has bombed in the pros compared to the hype.

In my opinion, here is the good from today: If we play the rest of the season like today, we win the next four and maybe lose only two more games. We won't see another Sullinger type player this year and we shouldn't send another team to the line 27 times. OSU is the class of the Big Ten. I'm just gonna see what happens. But, I have a bad feeling we are gonna be sweating on Selection Sunday again.

Why didn't Griffey play today? He hasn't played much of late. I think a lot of it is Weber is comfortable playing an 8 man rotation. He's the 9th guy. Next year I'm sure we will talk about playing deeper again, but we always settle on 8.

First, Penn St played with OSU,too; two, we are playing in the Hall --it should not only be expected for our teams to play with people but the expectation should be wins. I remember during the 80's and early 2000's when teams put an "L" down on their schedule when they saw @ Illinois. I thought we'd go undefeated at home this year. This game was lost because we didn't shoot the 3 today and I still think it's dumb for any team to rely so heavily on the 3. Again, due to our hatred for contact, we didn't get to the free throw line by being aggressive to the rim instead settling for 3's. 10 FTs? Yeah, refs missed a lot of calls, but when you take so many jumpers and rarely go to the hole, refs are going to miss calls. Similar to a pitcher who is rarely around the plate not getting close pitches called for a strike. Had we been able to go to the line even five more times, I think we win the game. OSU had 5 team fouls with 13 minutes left and we let them off the hook. And is Tyler Griffey in the doghouse? I agree with a lot of that, but I've said my piece on the state of the program now. That doesn't change the fact that Sullinger was like Sean May today in our gym. He might have just got fouled heading to the bus.

Probably the most frustrating thing about the last two mins was the complete lack of movement on offense. Just standing around for 20 seconds and trying a 3 or jump-hook. I've seen enough of D.J. Richardson. He doesn't bring anything really. I know Paul is a moron, but at least he is always aggresive and I think he guards just as well. Richmond was awesome and that's two games in a row. I really hope it's starting to come together for him. The big thing from this game is they can't pout now. They have to win at IU and NW next week. Cause the schedule is gonna get tougher. It is more difficult when someone is holding your arms. I didn't see his arms being held, especially on that reverse angle. I didn't either. But the rest of the game we could have maybe gotten the benefit of the doubt once in a little while. I know Jared Sullinger is the next Karl Malone and everything, but that was ridiculous.

And yet again we don't get a look. Grow some hands Mike Tisdale.
