As I’ve said, I have some cognitive disconnect with this Astros team. My brain doesn’t view this team as the same franchise of Bagwell and Biggio. I have no problem pulling for them.
Which is quite surprising considering how bad their previous five or so drafts were. They only have like 4 guys on the team from their 2011-2015 drafts or something like that. Atrocious. I’ve thought the same way about Loomis/Payton in the draft and with FA signings. Ever since they brought in Ireland in the FO they have killed it in the offseason. I don't see how Loomis can give ample time to both the Pelicans and the Saints. It just seems like that's when everything started to go to hell with the front office.
I have to admit that I think it was a good pick for the Bears. I thought it was a mistake to move up to get Mitch back during the draft, but I can see how he's going to translate in the future and he looks to have all the tools.

counterpoint: he lost to Iowa His team allowed 44 points to Iowa...which seems impossible. And yet gave up just a kick return to TCU, the nation’s number 7 offense. Pretty weird.
Matt Campbell is about to get PAID. He’s now beaten No.3 Oklahoma and No.4 TCU at Iowa freaking State. Lots of schools will be wanting him. These jobs will likely all be open in the SEC alone: Florida Tennessee Ole Miss Auburn Arkansas Mizzou Texas A&M Mississippi State
