No crap. First round has taken over 5 hours now.

They did a good bit, got 3 defensive starters in FA this year: LB Brian Simmons, CB Jason David, and S Kevin Kaesvaharn. I still think the D is a big weakness. I'm not a fan of KK (glad the Bears didn't pick him up). I don't have a problem with the team strengthening a strength, but I feel the Saints D really could use some help, especially at the expense of another WR. Our D wasn't as bad as people think. Our starting corners are now Mike McKenzie and Jason David who are not great, but they are good and do the job. Our second round pick last year, safety Roman Harper got hurt earlier in the year, but before got hurt he was doing great. We just signed Charles Grant to a long term contract and we brought in Brian Simmons to shore up the LB with solid players Shanle and Fujita. I'm not upset with our D at all. I think our needs were addressed in the FA. This lifelong Saints fan is happy with this pick. We needed a solid third WR after Joe Horn left.

The Saints have to go defense, IMO. Fred Thomas is terrible. They replaced him with Jason David from the Colts. And ya, Fred Thomas might have had the worst year any CB has ever had for a team as good as the Saints. 14 of the 22 passing TD's our defense gave up were on him 8 of them were 25+ yarders OUCH

Saints select Paul Poz or Greg Olsen. Mmmm...add a 4.4 TE to the Saints offense..that's scary all the options the Saints offense would then have.
