  1. He was one of the first players to actually "work out", so to speak. He used to go running with weights in his shoes during the offseason. As far as the topic at hand goes, I think the Mitchell Report helps Sosa's chances of being in the hall.
  2. Yeah, it's only in an introductory section that talks about the history of substance abuse and MLB's response to it.
  3. Do you know what page he starts on about Clemens? Page 167
  4. How is this so hard for you?
  5. There is a BOGUS list and a REAL list. THIS IS THE REAL LIST as created by ME skimming through the document very quickly: Marvin Benard Barry Bonds Bobby Estalella Jason Giambi Jeremy Giambi Benito Santiago Gary Sheffield Randy Velarde Lenny Dysktra David Segui Larry Bigbie Brian Roberts Jack Cust Tim Laker Josias Manzanillo Todd Hundley Mark Carreon Hal Morris Matt Franco Rondell White Roger Clemens Andy Pettite Chuck Knoblauch Jason Grimsley Greg Zaun David Justice F.P. 6. most of it is hearsay Yeah, but Robert's is hilarious b.s. @#$@ ^ the heck? That's incredibly flimsy. They'll be lucky if Roberts doesn't file a charge of defamation against them for that.
  7. McGwire and Bonds are mentioned a ton in it. Sosa is only mentioned one time in the whole document, and it is in the context of the players who went and testified in front of Congress.
  8. Protein shake http://www.walgreens.com/dbimagecache/150158.jpg
  9. Sorry, OMC. You're out a quarter. YOU SPEAK LIES WITH A FORKED TONGUE!!
  10. Seems like if a team wanted to, they could make a claim that these players violated the "good character" clause that is inherent in all MLB contracts. Can't see how if those things occurred prior to their current contract. And with the current collective bargaining agreement including steroids testing and punishment, I doubt they would be able to go beyond that punishment and release a guy. It's not so much to do with the rules of MLB that they violated, but rather that they committed a Federal crime.
  11. Does this mean my Ricky Bones autographed card is now worthless? This sucks!
  12. My list of names came from me combing through the report. I was probably missing a few, but I think it's reliable.
  13. ESPN will suspend him 15 programs for substance abuse.
  14. Seems like if a team wanted to, they could make a claim that these players violated the "good character" clause that is inherent in all MLB contracts.
  15. So now our generation's greatest hitter AND greatest pitcher are potentially tarnished.
  16. HOLY CRAP, what the crap is that noise?? Terrorists are trying to blow up the Mitchell Report hearing I think.
  17. OK, I think I got it.. Marvin Benard Barry Bonds Bobby Estalella Jason Giambi Jeremy Giambi Benito Santiago Gary Sheffield Randy Velarde Lenny Dysktra David Segui Larry Bigbie Brian Roberts Jack Cust Tim Laker Josias Manzanillo Todd Hundley Mark Carreon Hal Morris Matt Franco Rondell White Roger Clemens Andy Pettite Chuck Knoblauch Jason Grimsley Greg Zaun David Justice F.P. 18. Good point. Hmmmm...Tyler Houston, Terry Adams?
  19. I saw that. Wood was injured in 99 though, right? So I don't think he'd be one of those guys. Farnsworth? Jose Hernandez? Benito Santiago? GlenAllen Hill? Sosa?
  20. He used to live 2 houses down from me. That sucks. I liked Nails.
