  1. It would be shotgun in mouth time if that happened.
  2. Lou definitely receives the double dumbass award tonight.
  3. You in your playing days would have had that! I think CT would have had that.
  4. Gold glover probably would have had that.....
  5. Was at the Rockies-Mets game at Coors today and they had a "bloopers" segment on the jumbotron in between innings and I think half of them were Cubs; it was mostly Theriot.
  6. Oh my god Ole Miss is blowing a five run lead in the 8th inning with one of the most dominant pitchers in amateur baseball on the mound....crap crap crap.
  7. Geaux to hell LSU, geaux to hell!! HOTTY TODDY!
  8. Well Vance, it looks like it is going to be a battle to the death tomorrow.
  9. I just think he feels that the whole world thinks they never paid attention to it in the past. I know, I know, the evidence suggests they didn't, and I've told him that. Things started to change, though in a serious way during the organization meetings in the fall of '06 (wow, after Dusty was gone!), when they really started to acknowledge the importance of OBP. What worries me is I've yet to hear a good thing about Wasserstrom. He has no background in stats, moving to his current job from the media relations department. Maybe he's grown into the job along with the organization, but I fear his work includes way too much small sample size/fluke splits rather than helpful stats. They should hire Mephistopheles.
  10. Holliday you mean.
  11. Edinson Volquez is so freaking good. Tonight his line was 6 IP, 2 hits, 1 ER, 2 BB, 12 K's.
  12. I think it's fine for home runs. Other than that, no.
  13. three now. Beasley > Rose
  14. The common denominator is Gary Sheffield. I think he's a cancer in the clubhouse.
  15. There are four lights!
  16. Damn IMB for beating me to the punch. I'll post mine as well. http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh153/OleMissCub17/sisko.gif
  17. Sort of a shock.
  18. Damn the transaction thread!!! Damn it to hell!!!

  20. A pretty poor catcher defensively but definitely the best hitting catcher in history. He should be a first ballot HOFer. His career 162 game avg in 16 seasons: .308/.377/.545, 142 OPS+, 36 HR, 113 RBI. Career numbers: 427 HR, 1335 RBI, 2127 hits. Does he go in to the hall as a Dodger or a Met? He had monster seasons in both. 177 HR as a Dodger and 202 HR as a Metropolitan.
  21. Gotta go with the once and future Nomar. Also, I had forgotten that Phil Nevin was a Cub. I'll never forget how hard I laughed when he injured himself in that game with the Padres when he dove for the ball in the outfield and just thudded on the ground. I had tears coming down my face it was so funny.
