  1. Saw Francis pitch in Denver last week and he never topped 85.
  2. Hotty Toddy Seth Smith, hit one past Theriot!! but then be the advance runner in a double play at second.
  3. Schilling remembers Gonzalez in his blog.... http://38pitches.com/
  4. Roids.....my sweet, sweet Roids.... http://frinklinspeaks.mu.nu/archives/booneretires.jpg
  5. wrigley ushers = freemasons
  6. Lenny Harris. I LOATHED that guy when he was on the team. His stats indicate that when he was with us he did hit one home run, which is shocking to me because I don't know how you get a home run when he you hit a weak ground ball back to the pitcher, because that is apparently all I remember him doing.
  7. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/cs-27-cubs-brite-chicagomay27,0,3955378.story I sure hope we don't get another feud going between the booth and the players. That Stone stuff was ugly. Also this...
  8. I think it's a bit harder than that.
  9. I'd love to find out a similar story from another team that continually put their top prospect down then up, then down again, etc., and I'd just hope and pray that the prospect turned out alright in the end. This Pie situation really freaking sucks though. It truly gets my blood boiling.
  10. I don't really have an opinion about Jeter, except to say that he is definitely overrated (especially defensively) by his NY and East Coast friendly media http://www.torontobaseballguys.com/jeter.html
  11. Unlike the past three years where the Rebels lost game three's in the Super Regionals, I doubt they'll even make it to a Super this year. Although if they do make it to the Super I'd expect they'd host it. The past two times we've hosted Super Regionals (05 & 06) we had the largest attendance of any Super Regional.
  12. We've been doing this for years and it's worked just fine. Well ya, I'm sure it works fine...I'm not insinuating that because they've been in this forum that the sun will collapse upon itself. But just look at the number of people who look at this forum; it's abysmal compared to the rest of the board. College Baseball deserves to be in a forum that is susceptible to higher traffic.
  13. To quote from one of my favorite movies...."I"d rather drink turpentine and piss on a brush fire."
  14. I'm sick of these general college baseball threads going in the June Amateur Draft forum that hardly anyone reads. Because they are generalized they should go in Social with all the other random sports threads.
  15. This thread should be in Social next season.
  16. Mizzou needed 1 win in 2 games (vs 8th seed OU or 1st seed Texas A&M) to make the Big 12 Championship and they lost both. They lost to OU by giving up 2 in the bottom of the 9th, and didn't even show up against A&M today. It's been a fun baseball weekend. Ewww, that's no fun. I know the feeling. In the last 3 years the Rebels have won the first game of their super regional and weren't able to win 1 of the next 2 games to advance to the World Series. Aaron Crow is a real good pitcher, btw.
  17. Yeah, that Pirates celebration was just a touch excessive.
  18. weeping Jesus on the cross....first the Cubs and now the stupid Rebels are blowing a 6 run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning.....
  19. THE PIRATES WON THE PENNANT, THE PIRATES WON THE PENNANT!!! or so they are acting like....
  20. Because Lou has to take a slam and is wanting to sabotage this game.
