Saw this on another site and thought I'd post it here. It's a list of the origins of team nicknames, etc. The Royals one is interesting to me. I had always figured that the name "Royals" was an homage to the Kansas City Monarchs.

My main thought on the Ole Miss score was that it probably could have been a lot worse. Ole Piss missed a field goal, had a fumble on the 1 yard line about to score, and got zero points on the punt return when Green stepped out of bounds like a fool on the five. On the other hand, the rebs got reallly damn lucky that Harrell didnt score on that sneak before the half. I knew the rebs were alright, but i'm very, very stunned. I assume they'll be ranked between 20-15 preseason next year. They are losing some key players, however. If Greg Hardy decides to go pro, they'll likely have three first round picks in Michael Oher, Peria Jerry, and Hardy.

at Cotton Bowl righr now. these seats were designed for the use of hobbits. thanfully im in the shade for the whole game since it is warm and the sun is bright. I have no faith in my Rebels. to have a chance we need to control the clock and slow everything down. we wont win a scoring match but can win a physical slugfest. hotty toddy
