  1. that Keystone light Grandpa commercial consistently makes me laugh, no matter how many times I've seen it.
  2. watching this game makes me feel like i have the flu or something. this is literally painful.
  3. omg...did they just grab these people out of the stands??? Seems like if they told you that you were gonna be in a competition where you have to throw a football 5 stinking yards that you'd practice or something.
  4. I'm not afraid to eat crow. Major props on the win and I hope you guys, as an SEC representative, absolutely murder whomever you play in the title game. you guys still suck balls though...
  5. I wonder if that is a real possibility.

  7. what a HORRIBLE play call
  8. Verne reading through those scores sounds like Fox News reading the returns on election night.
  9. this would be so much better if auburn pulled off the upset last week. NO KIDDING. That would have been the surefire death knell of the BCS.
  10. this is terrible. god i hate bama so very, very much
  11. Ingram is putting on a clinic. This is nuts.
  12. ya that's atrocious. my girl shouted "oh my god!!" as soon as she saw that. Archie is one of our local heroes butmjesus, that's horrible.
  13. The Alabama Mark Ingrams vs. The Florida Tebows
  14. I don't like Florida's uniforms. But I guess they are the away team.
  15. Lane Kiffin picked BAMA on Gameday. Huge shock there. Lee Corso picked BAMA too. Yeah right. I think he just wanted to wear that dopey elephant head.
  16. I'd be satisfied with him, but I'd still love me some Granderson.
  17. Frank presents a big conundrum for me because I loathe the DH so extensively but I also recognize that Big Hurt was one of the best hitters in the history of the game, so how could I not vote for the guy? I can rationalize voting for a guy who had the majority of his starts as a DH by saying that his uber-stud MVP seasons were achieved as a position player.
  18. Several of the NFL Stat sites are agreeing that Brees' performance against the Pats was the best ever by a QB in the regular season. http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/Articles/11_3002_Brees%3A_the_best_day_ever.html \ Football reference agrees on the best ever statement as well: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/blog/?p=4919 I think one the most amazing things to me is that the Saints were already pulling on the reins near the end of the third quarter and running the clock. Brees probably could have had 7 TD's in that game if he had to.
  19. His Norse wife channeled her inner Viking and went Berserker on his ass.
  20. THIS x 1,000
  21. When talking about "statistical slamdunks" we are talking about the statistics that matter mainly to voters, not to us (Dawson's low OBP does trouble me personally). I have read that some voters have problems with Dawson's OBP, but that really isn't what we are talking about here. We are talking about the nebulous idea of "Hall of Fame stats" and those stats don't generally include rate stats unless you are talking about the ".300" hitter...but most of the lifetime .300 hitters are going to be guys with 3,000 hits or damn close to 3,000 anyways. Ripken had an OBP of just .340 and Young was at .342, which are hardly HOF-ish OBP numbers. But they each had 3,000 hits. So they punched their ticket. True, they played a more valuable position than Dawson, but Dawson's position doesn't (or shouldn't) effect him as much as other outfielders because of his excellence in the field.
