  1. wow Victor Cruz wins the idiot of the day award. edit: he got very lucky
  2. you never saw Lenny Harris at the Golden Corral
  3. the Eagles, team of destiny or whatever they called themselves, are about to be 1-3
  4. Just realized that y'all picked up Spence from the Seahawks. We graduated high school and played football together. We also had Stephen Gotskowski as our kicker and Parys Haralson of the Niners was one of our linebackers. Spence is a good dude. Sucks he's hurt already.
  5. I don't really have an opinion as to whether Alou was in the stands or not, I can't tell, but I will say that the angle from that new tape that was filmed from above him in the stands surprised me with how far he stuck his arms out.

  7. I believe that was actually a chick. One of Bartman's buddies that was at the game with him.
  8. Our choke job in 2004 wasn't nearly as massive, but damnit....it hurt. I was among the hundreds of Cubs fans at the Atlanta/Astros NLDS. :-(
  9. Awesome. "LOVE BASEBALL" is a top 10 trending topic right now on twitter.
  10. No isht! What a bore that guy was.
  11. Awesome, MLB Network just showing the reactions of Harold and them watching the walk off. Hilarious.
  12. holy isht, Joe Maddon REALLY needs a haircut
  13. That was a sick catch. It's funny, my girl doesn't follow baseball and she was piddling on her laptop and looked up and was like "Chipper Jones!? He is still playing? Me and my friends used to have a crush on him when we were like 10 years old."
  14. You can't tell if his glove is open or not in that picture. Bad fielder or not, it's a pretty safe assumption that a fielder's glove is going to be open mere milliseconds before the ball is supposed to land.
  15. screenshot from last night that will hopefully stop all of the people who say he wasn't going to catch it anyways. If his glove is open even Scottie Smalls catches that ball 99 times out of 100 in that position. http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/2794/alout.jpg
  16. The WGN radio delay was so long because it was televised on FOX. Probably wasn't that long during regular season WGN telecasts.
  17. Interesting statement for you to make since you didn't see the thing. I learned a good deal from it. It was interesting to hear the interviews of the people that were literally right next to him and what they were saying to Steve afterward and what he was saying to them. Similarly, it was neat to find out from the interviews with the security guards what they did to help him escape that night (including one of them telling the story about taking Steve to their apartment and him wanting to watch Sportscenter). Some of the new footage from fans in the stands of the actual play was cool.
  18. The same reason I watch any documentary about something that interests me. The Cubs interest me. Baseball interests me. Baseball history interests me. This isn't Ken Burns baseball. You lived through it. I was alive when they fixed the Hubble telescope, when Jordan played AA baseball, and when 9/11 happened. Should I not watch documentaries about those things? You think those are comparable situations? What difference does it make? Your problem is apparently that because we "lived" through something we shouldn't want to watch a documentary about it.

  21. QFT That's the only thing that "hurt" me watching that documentary. Calfzilla. Damnit I miss him.
  22. Yes. Gimme a break.
  23. Oh, I also thought that the new camera angle from the upper deck was interesting to see. Also, the clips where they took all the other fans including Bartman out of the clip was neat. Alou definitely was going to catch that ball.
  24. The guy who came from 15 rows away just to hurl insults and wish death upon him was sickening. He's sitting there, years after the fact, with that dumb smile on his face. Don't you realize what an evil [expletive] prick you are, you dumb ass?!? I can't believe I forgot about that. And yes his smile on his face talking about it makes you want to punch the d-bag in the face. Was just coming here to post about that guy. I hate that man. Poor Steve. Hope the Cubs win it just so he can come out of hiding.
  25. Steve Gleason, dude who famously blocked the punt and recovered for a TD during the Saints first game back to the dome, has Lou Gehrig's Disease. Bummer. http://media.nola.com/saints_impact/photo/steve-gleasonjpg-83854b7df81737ef_large.jpg
