Yes but he was apparently running towards the opposing dugout with a bat in hand. That isn't a whole lot better. Luckily he was stopped before he got close enough to do anything. Not even making it to the dugout and not swinging the bat (and possibly making contact with the opponent's dugout wall) is a lot better than the initial reports. Yeah, I don't even see how you could see it's not a whole lot better. It's a completely different dynamic if he actually goes to the dugout and pounds on it while waiting for a challenger. It still could be considered aggrivated assault, couldn't it? for aggravated assault, a perp must have attempted to cause or actually caused serious bodily injury upon another.
