  1. Gary Danielson's shock and surprise whenever Bama shows any sign that they are not robots is like if you told a fundamentalist that Jesus snorted coke off hookers asses.
  2. Absolutely. I'm certainly an SEC homer but the USC job is better than any job in the SEC with the exception of Bama and maybe LSU and Florida.
  3. GA Tech already up 17-0 on Georgia. Yeesh
  4. Auburn will get NO help at all in this game.
  5. After losing 23 straight games, it looks like Southern Miss is going to actually win a game; currently beating up on UAB.
  6. Vandy is no doubt MUCH improved, but there were some really bad teams they defeated in many of those wins: Mizzou in 2012 - Was a 5-7 team, 2-6 in SEC Ole Miss in 2011 - a 2-10 team, 0-8 in SEC Ole Miss in 2012 - a 6-6 team, 3-5 in SEC Auburn in 2012 - a 3-9 team, 0-8 in SEC Tenn in 2013 - a 5-7 team, 2-6 in SEC (I'm giving them the UK game today) Tenn in 2012 - a 5-7 team, 1-7 in SEC Florida in 2013 - a 4-8 team, 3-5 in SEC So aside from their victory over Georgia this year, those SEC teams you listed were 11-45 in Conference play those years. If you factor in Georgia and their three victories over Kentucky, the 11 SEC opponents that Franklin has beaten were 18-70 in SEC play.
  7. Kentucky sucks, but Vandy has beaten Ole Miss 5 of the last 7 years. Well aware of this. They have our number, even in our best years. It's a game of dread for us. As a Rebel I'd rather play LSU any day than Vandy. However, against everyone else Vandy is a doormat. Although they've been much improved under Franklin.
  8. http://d3fsqtc6sy2z27.cloudfront.net/uploads/c0a372ef544e27bc78d65889d60b0d9a_large
  9. Newton and Manziel are the best two college players I've seen in person. fwiw, Bear Bryant said Archie Manning was the best he'd ever seen
  10. 9+ wins will not be your normal season now that you are in the SEC. Surely you know that. Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina will usually have better teams than you simply due to depth and recruiting. You're going to have to do a hell of a lot better than 31st in recruiting to keep up with those teams year after year. You do get to play Vandy and Kentucky every year, so there's that...
  11. Mettenberger just had his knee blown out. Gross.
  12. You think most fans don't understand that? That's kind of the point of my entire statement earlier, which is that it sucks that the majority of the state's football resources and talent can't be pooled into one program because then maybe we'd be able to get BCS Bowl's and Conference Championships on occasion, whereas now there is little hope of that. I'm going to write an angry letter to my congressman that Illinois doesn't get to split up all the state's football players I'll cosign if you'd like.
  13. The Aggies have had one of the greatest college quarterbacks in history the past two seasons and Mizzou is having a very, very special season. 10 win seasons will not be even close to the norm for those schools. If not more so? Wait, so Clemson might actually have better records if they played in the SEC and not the dogshvt ACC?
  14. SC has nearly 2 million more people, but I get your point. Although I think if Clemson were in the SEC they probably wouldn't win as much as they currently do and would suffer similar fates as Ole Miss and State and be confined to middle to bottom of the pack.
  15. UGA has 34,000 students. Ole Miss has 19,000. That's nearly twice as large. This isn't high school you weirdo. Size of school isn't the question. The point was your attempt to pretend Mississippi was in some unique situation as a small state with 2 "big" schools. you are the weirdo here, I was specifically talking about Mississippi being in a conference surrounded by consistent powerhouses, many of whom, like LSU, are really the only thing going in their state and therefore virtually get their pick of the top talent in that state and get an enormous amount of the resources. I was simply bemoaning the fact that the two Mississippi schools will never be consistently good teams because they split the State's talent and resources in addition to playing in the most difficult conference. If you want to talk about Kansas or Oregon or Oklahoma, then go ahead. It sucks for them too. If you can point out where I said anything about Mississippi's situation being unique to Mississippi, then please do. I also don't recall calling Ole Miss or State "big" schools.
  16. UGA has 34,000 students. Ole Miss has 19,000. That's nearly twice as large. Georgia has nearly 10 million people in it, so it's 4 times bigger than MS. That state can afford to have its recruits and resources spread around a lot easier than MS or Kansas, as someone else mentioned. Obviously. I wasn't saying MS is the only state in a similar shitty sitaution. I was talking specifically about Mississippi.
  17. Yeah but half or even more than half the players on OU and OK State come from Texas, arguably the best football state, and with 26 million people.
  18. according to sagarin, MS State's SOS is 9th and Ole Miss' is 14th. Playing in the SEC West is just unfair sometimes.
  19. If Mississippi had ONE big school like Louisiana or Georgia, they'd be perennial contenders. The fact that any Mississippi school, given the small population, is ever even somewhat relevant and ranked is a miracle. No reason for a state of 2.5 million to have two SEC schools. Aside from the spreading of talent between MS State and Ole Miss, we lose a lot of great players to our greedy neighbors LSU and Alabama. That game last night was embarrassing. To only score 3 offensive points is staggeringly awful for a team that averages 30.4 a game. Although I guess that's what can happen when your QB has 5 turnovers. Fine time to have the worst game of his career. Bring on the Liberty Bowl...
  20. yeah, it's what they say now. rednecks. it's their official page. http://www.hailstate.com
  21. Mississippi State's uniforms for their game against us tomorrow if some of the ugliest [expletive] i've ever seen
  22. Win or lose, if Carolina gets the job done Sunday it sets up a monster SNF showdown. I'm glad that game got flexed. That Dec 8 game is gonna be so huge
  23. Seahawks going to be without their #2 and #3 cornerbacks for the Saints game.
  24. Ruby was sitting at home that morning watching all the coverage on TV when one of his strippers called needing $25 rent money. Apparently the strip clubs were shut down because of the assassination. Ruby gets in his car with his dog and drives to the Western Union office. He sits there standing in line and I think even lets a man go in front of him. He wires the money and walks back to his car where his dog is. As he is heading that way he sees the police station down the road and knows something is up so he just walks up and he isn't standing amongst the reporters for more than a minute when they brought Oswald out. Oswald was supposed to be transported earlier that morning around 10. No one knew that he would be delayed for an hour and a half or whatever it was. So if Oswald was going to be taken out in a hit then Ruby should have been near that garage a couple of hours earlier, not sitting at home watching TV in his underwear.
  25. The thought that an accidental discharge of a firearm would happen to hit the president in the head while another person was simultaneously actually firing at his head is ludicrous. For a numbers man like James to assign a 55 percent probability to something that seems astronomically improbable (at least IMO) is astonishing.
