  1. Your Saints pic was too much. You just couldn't resist. Wanted to show off Mrs. OMC
  2. I'm very happy I got to read the first page before it was deleted. I had the great misfortune of reading the entire thing shutup and put your blue polo on
  3. Raisin you douche!!!!! Killed my thread!
  4. Yep. As evidence I present the fact that through the first half of one of the biggest USA soccer games in 4 years there are only like 2 pages of content, even from you soccer guys. Because there's nothing to talk about!!! Sport is a snooze fest 98 percent of the time. Yeah, it's weird. Almost as if people are watching the game. It is pretty riveting stuff, the guys running back and forth and all that. Eyes are glued to the tube.
  5. Would you really argue that this is a better SPORT than baseball or football? Baseball is a completely terrible sport with so much variance and luck as to render it absurd. If you don't grow up with it, it's unwatchable. Baseball does not exist to impress you. I don't care.
  6. Hey viewers, through the first half we only have one highlight we can show you.

  9. sorry to the soccer kids on nsbb, but the only reason this sport is the most popular in the world is because all it requires is one ball. As an actual game, it is in no way as interesting, technical, or exciting as football, baseball, or basketball.
  10. Ok, so I think this is thread for people who are watching their first soccer game of the year. The folks with the oversized soccer sigs are posting in the Soccer thread.
  11. is this the thread for the cool kids or something? Thought everyone would be posting in the game thread.
  12. Ummm, so you run like 10 miles a day and then you blow your hamstring during the actual game?? wtf that's pisspoor timing to say the least
  13. "You just have to imagine the scene around American living rooms across the country" *40 million homes watching Judge Judy*
  14. only 97% HOF votes. F that 3 percent.

  16. Not without a head. touche
  17. Ted Williams gets to talk about hitting again.
  18. Bad decision. Guess Bianco just doesn't want to rock the boat regarding the rotation.
  19. Refs don't want to be murdered.
  20. probably already been mentioned, but it genuinely is nice to watch a WC game without the vuvuzelas droning in the background. Also, one of these announcers is definitely a Liverpudlian. Sounds just like a Beatle.
  21. Holy fraking [expletive] that is AMAZING
  22. toonster, couple of questions about UVA. Is Derek Fisher like Griffey Jr defensively in the outfield? His stats don't seem to reflect those of a first round pick. It appears he missed a good many games this year, so his stats aren't eye popping in part because of that, but still...
  23. Yeah, if you've got more lefties, then I really hope they go with Trent. As good as Ellis is, he nearly lost us the super regional when he developed a slight case of Steve Blass disease and was throwing balls over and behind batters. Cruising along and then walks 4 straight batters on 16 pitches. Then gives up a grand slam. Weirdest stat line ever for a starter: 2.2 IP, 1 hit, 5 runs. So ya, I don't know if I trust Ellis right now to win that all important game 1. Whereas Trent is just really stinking good at this point. He's now sitting at 9-0, 2.21 era. I don't care if Kirby looked bad in his last start, he is still gonna scare the hell out of me. I will say that we are definitely on the right side of the bracket. I think either UVA or Ole Miss advances to the Champ series from our bracket. This is also an intriguing matchup because, as you may recall, UVA put Ole Miss out in Oxford in 2009 in the Supers. Ole Miss was 5 outs away and an inexplicable error by our second baseman gave y'all the momentum to pull ahead. There's actually a 30 minute documentary about the series and the error called "Five Outs from Omaha". It's really a sad story, Evan Button, the second baseman who made the error suffered a lot of emotional trauma from that because he was unnecessarily blamed for losing the whole series.
