Congrats on winning the Nat Champ. Y'all will win against whoever comes out of the other bracket in two games. Our bracket was easily the hardest. UVA has now ended Ole Miss' season 3 of the last 5 years. Sick of seeing y'all.

Jeff Brantley was the ace of that team but it was actually Bobby Thigpen who batted cleanup (sometimes). He was the closer and also played outfield for the team. That's right. I get the hitting pitchers mixed up.

Yeah. One of the best swings in baseball history wasted on a tool. I had a few youth baseball camps that I attended where he was one of the instructors and I always wondered why he was there because he just wasn't very pleasant. Surely he didn't need the money. Somewhat interesting trivium: Will Clark and Raffy Palmeiro played on the same team at Mississippi State yet Jeff Brantley was the cleanup hitter on that team. Also, [expletive] him for 1989 NLCS

I assumed it was because you were a were primarily a baseball purist with a nostalgic sense of history, but also a closet racist who doesn't like soccer because of all the lazy brown skinned guys. this is all obviously true, but how do you explain the executed civil war soldier? In wolf's mind it no doubt was meant to signify the death of America due to soccer fanatics. This World Cup is the firing squad and the soldier with his face shot off is supposed to signify the Nation's agonizing death as soccer slowly creeps up and snatches us to hell with its icy death grip.

Wow. Zero sense of humor about this. I got pwned by Treebeard and I rolled with it and entertained myself. So the F what? Jesus Christ you people are beyond sensitive about your game. Dude writes five messages questioning the game and it's like a holocaust. None of this changes the fact that Ty Cobb tried to murder that elevator operator. Just fyi. But he was good at baseball.

Y'all are the ones still bringing it up six hours later. And yet, this trolling that was apparently so noteworthy to you all that you are still talking about it after six hours only actually consisted of 5 messages within a 15 minute span. Maybe you should go back and check it out.

If I was really being an ass I would have gone into the soccer thread and trolled them or continued to be a brat in the game thread, but I didn't. I had fun with it in the SEPARATE THREAD CREATED TO BE A JOKE and talked to myself for an hour.

Oh I get it! Because soccer is not for men who like pictures like that. It is for homosexual men, who would prefer pictures of scantily clad hunks and are naturally inferior to, and targets for mockery by, superior, heterosexual men, like him. Way to break the stereotype that soccer fans are overly sensitive if someone attacks their beloved sport. I posted hot pics of Posh Spice because someone in the game was called Beckamy or something like that. I mentioned how I had a one sided sexual relationship with her when I was like 13. Then that led to me posting some pics of Elisha Cuthbert. My mind wandered... Had nothing to do with emasculating you soccer dudes. Weirdo. I also posted a gif of Rogers Hornsby, a pic of an executed civil war soldier, and a random picture of Aramis Ramirez. Care to speculate what deep seeded point I was trying to make by posting those?

Just imagine all the things a douchey SEC baseball player jock guy who is a lawyer might say because he thinks he's too tough and cool for something someone else enjoys. It was that stereotypically dumb and awful. And then he started posting pictures of scantily clad women. you have a problem with Elisha Cuthbert. What the hell is wrong with you, turdnugget?

Eh, not really. If you only get one stinking hit in a game you deserve to lose. My guess is that they were so aggressive because you don't want to get into a hole against Kirby because he is likely to strike you out at that point with that slider. They made decent contact on a number of pitches I felt, but they just didn't find any holes and that's just baseball. Ellis isn't that great to be honest. He has dodged fire a LOT this season. 1.27 WHIP compared to Trent at 1.05. Trent is the true ace of the staff. A lot of Ole Miss folks, myself included, would have rather walked Papi there at the end. His run was irrelevant and it would have put the force out at any base. But oh well. I don't envy you guys facing Finnegan. He is a tough cookie.
