He had one of the greatest college careers ever for a hitter. i know who mark teixeira is. i was assuming "drafttex" is a reference to something jersey did in 2001 on cubs.com or something haha, I have no idea why I explained who Teixeira was as if I was talking to my sister.

    I can't believe Rickey never did that. ETA: 1 BB shy in '85. My thoughts immediately went to Rickey with those stat categories. Rickey's BR page is amazing. Guy was such a weapon. Then I thought about Tim Raines. He was 3 BB shy in 1983. Similarly, Cobb was 3 XBH shy in 1915.

    Coghlan played IF his whole life up until basically AAA which is probably why he looks so goofy playing OF. He was a heck of a third baseman in college and was part of the reason he was drafted in the first round. However, his IF stats in the minors, where he played mostly 2B, look to be below average for the most part. Nevertheless, it seems that the main reason he was moved to the OF was because Uggla was blocking his way.
