    I have the White Sox broadcast on right now and Hawk just said something about Bigbie being dealt to Colorado for Eric Byrnes. It kinda sounded like he was only speculating though.

    Isn't Soriano's defense pretty bad at 2B? Wouldn't he be pretty awful in left? I'd think it's a little easier to play LF than 2B. I suppose so, but Steve Stone was on the Score earlier and was basically saying Soriano would never move to LF. I really don't see us dealing for him. If the Cubs traded for Soriano, they would play him at 2B, not LF. on ESPN, Buster Olney was saying the deal would depend on if Soriano would be willing to move to LF or not.

    Dunn? please do it JH!!! I've gotten my hopes up about Manny, and that MAYBE over now as it appears he might be headed to the Mets, I just pray to Kent that we get Adam.

    Wow, things were looking pretty bleak. It's an ugly win, again, but I'll take it. JH needs to get us a bat though. This offense has looked pretty awful lately.

    Yeah, I just read that story here. I don't see why the Cubs would send Walker to Texas and then move Soriano to LF. Who becomes our 2B then? Neifi? :x

    Oh lawrdy. I was getting all set to expect nothing and accept the fact that we'd have to make do....and now this. Where did he post that? I ventured over to that forum and couldn't find his post.

    stop stop stop, I don't wanna get my hopes up. Of course, I'll now probably make myself believe we can actually get Manny somehow, and my hopes will go sky high.

    Dude, optimism at this point is moot. The Cubs have BARELY won the games vs St Louis, and Frisco. I mean we have gotten totally lucky. The Cubs SHOULD have won 6 in a row. They lacked driving in runners in scoring position. The team as a whole is not doing well, and IS choking. To win the wild card, we need win streaks. I tip my cap to the Astros, looks like they'll win it again this year. Bottom line is, they've still been winning lately, and there's no reason to say the Astros will win it right now. We're only 2.5 games out of the WC, only 3 if we lose today.
