  1. Yeah, 12-5 in our last 17 games, we are REALLY choking.
  2. I think they've probably had discussions, but Hendry has said he wants to trade for players that'll help us in the long term as well, so I doubt we end up Alou. I really wouldn't mind in LF this year, though.
  3. Fine, so when the Cubs fail to score the runner from 3rd with no outs, or a Cubs pitcher blows a pretty good lead late in the game, you can sit there and sing "kumbaya" while I express my displeasure with thier performance. But what is booing going to actually do? If you want a player to do better, why would you boo him? It's just going to put more pressure on him and probably make him perform worse in the long run.
  4. That's correct, click the box score link for the Iowa game on the first post in this thread. AB's: 5 R: HR RBI: AVG: .400 OBP: .400 SLG: .400 OPS: .800
  5. Someone on the Cubs.com board said Corey is not playing for Iowa tonight. Can anyone confirm that?
  6. I honestly think Hendry will stand pat...it just doesn't really seem like a buyer's market this year. It sounds like Cincinnati is a pretty bad trading partner, although the rumored deal for Dunn that was discussed on this board last week is one I would have done, but I guess Hendry doesn't want to trade Rich Hill. There's been a lot of talk about Austin Kearns wanting to play for the Cubs and Hendry being interested in him, so I think, if we get anyone, it'll be him. I think we also have an outside chance at Huff, but there hasn't been any talk about that lately. I'll just keep hoping for Dunn, but it seems unlikely.
  7. Have a good trip. Hopefully we'll have Dunn by the time you get back.
  8. In spite of an ugly game, we win. Alright Burny!
  9. It'll never happen. We'll see Hollandsworth most of the time, barring a trade.
  10. Walker is throwing the games, it's obvious!!!!!!
  11. The Cubs WILL win later today. Cause the Giants will be sitting Vizquel, Alou, Durham, because Alou always uses the "don't play the OLDER veterans in the day game right after a LONG NIGHT game" theory. If the Cubs don't win later today, I will be severely disappointed. How does Macias look at himself in the mirror, everyday? I mean he is legitimately STEALING money and playing time from the Cubs. What kind of lineup is Dusty going to use though? I would assume at least Blanco will be starting, but it's possible that Hairston will sit if he was injured, and you know Macias will probably be in there for him, and who knows if Dusty will decide to rest someone like ARam or Walker after this late ending.
  12. Didn't see you around when they tied it.
  13. Can't believe I stayed up this late for a loss. ](*,)
  14. Please tell me this is some kind of joke?? :x nope, sorry, he's in.
  15. Lowry's at 114 pitches. He's gotta be done.
  16. Waited this long, might as well play it. yeah, I suppose so.
  17. This one will probably be cancelled, right? I can't see them playing this late.
  18. Is Dusty asking Joe Morgan for managing advice these days?
  19. So we should keep him because of one good outing? In just under 30 innings Remmy has a 1.10 WHIP, and is striking out around 7.5 batters per 9 innings. I say keep him unless you have 6 relievers better than him, which we don't right now. He might be OK if Dusty used him correctly, but he continues to use him as a LOOGY which he doesn't succeed in. We already have Ohman who can handle the LOGGY role, as evidenced by his .213 BAA against lefties.
